A Special Double Adoption! We're thrilled to share that Chief and Star went home today with a really lovely couple. A bonded pair when they arrived at the rescue, they were so happy to be going to their new family TOGETHER - you could see it in their faces and in watching their tails wag in unison. We couldn't be happier for them or for their new family.

Update on Pongo (aka Latke):

Pongo was able to come home last night but is heading back to the vet today to have her bloodwork rechecked. She’s still very anemic, and her PCV had dropped yesterday. While she’s still battling awful diarrhea, she’s eating and even playing, which gives us hope.

Hookworms are absolutely brutal, and these poor puppies have been hit so hard. Pongo isn’t out of the woods yet, and her recovery journey is far from over.

We’re so grateful for the prayers and support for these babies. If you’re able to donate toward her medical bills, it would mean the world to us. Our vet bill has climbed to nearly $6,000, and we still have a long road ahead.

Please help us give Pongo the fighting chance she deserves. ❤️
