Pet with Wings is a 501(c)(3) Our mission
is to transport as many animals as possible from the Humane Society of STT, USVI and near by communities to rescue groups, shelters and adopters on the U.S. Thomas in overseeing the transportation of homeless dogs and cats to awaiting rescues stateside. The collaboration ensures that the stateside rescues are vetted and forever homes are found.

Thank you so much to Pedro, Kyle and our Lacrosse team!!
On their way to compete in the 2024 World Box Lacrosse Championships, Pedro and Kyle, members of the USVI National Team, assisted Pets with Wings by bringing Shady and Dolly to their new (family/families) in Upstate NY.

Pets With Wings would like to thank Dr Stephanie Becker for transporting Squish and Sarge to New York where they were picked up and transported by Karen Woodbury and taken to Maine. Our partner rescue in Maine Grammy Rose was kind enough to find space for two of our precious fur babies. Another thank you to the staff at Standard Aviation for assisting us with the dogs. The stafff is always so proffessional and kind to our animals and enjoy interacting with them.

Congratulations The Kitten Fight Club ❤️

We are a day late on this post celebrating our 6 months as a small foster based rescue! 🥳. Kassie Forever Cute was our first intake, a very pregnant, young lady. She became our first of 2 home births, and first of 67 intakes! Of those intakes 34 souls have flown to their forever homes or our stateside partners. We have helped 8 kittens know love and comfort in lives that were much too short and full of pain and illness. We have released (after spaying of course) 5 young ladies that said “no thank you I’d rather go back to my colony”. And we currently have 20 kittens in our care!! We thought we had transport for these cuties but it fell through at the last minute. The kitties have their bags packed and are ready TO GO!

Jen loves her foster family so much, but wants to get to her forever home! She’s been waiting 2 months to get a lift to her new life in St Louis. Now her foster family will be traveling for family obligations and Jen REALLY doesn’t want to go back to the shelter!

Batty and Cinnamon’s family is moving off island and has more pets than the allowance on the airplane. So while their other fur siblings get to fly with their pawrents, these two need a kind soul to help them reunite with their family.

We have one volunteer for the 28th of September, but let’s not make them wait that long.

In this video is Pauly from our most recent transport at Stray Rescue of St. Louis!! Pauly was exhibiting signs of stress on the transport and STL graciously took him in and began working with him! He is doing so well and we are so thankful to Cassady Caldwell, Rosie, Kiarra and the rest of the pawsome STL team. 🐾🐾

We are so thankful for our amazing rescue partner Stray Rescue of St. Louis. Cassady Caldwell Rosie, and Kiarra are truly amazing and have helped us save so many of our coconut retrievers from the Humane Society of St. Thomas USVI. From our most recent transport STL graciously accepted 5 of our dogs, two relatively last minute. In this video is Alize who came into the shelter and was having a difficult time around the other dogs, but look at her progress thanks to the STL team!! 💪 We appreciate you all more than you know! ☺️

It’s transport day! 22 dogs are getting their second chance thanks to the generosity of the Verettes and the hardwork and dedication of our Pets with Wings staff and volunteers! Dogs are on their way to Spotty Dog Rescue, Pet Search, Angels Helping Animals Worldwide Rescue - Martha’s Vineyard, Heart Of Glass Rescue and 3 are on their way to their new families! 🐾🤍💙

Thanks to Kym Rapier and Glenn Verrete we are able to have another transport. 20 precious lives are being saved today and are on their way to our amazing partner Pet Search 💖✈️ We cannot thank the generosity of the Verettes enough! This would not be possible with you!

Our Story

The Pet with Wings Program works with the Humane Society of St. Thomas in overseeing the transportation of homeless dogs and cats to awaiting rescues stateside. PWW is funded completely through donations and volunteer support. Through donations, PWW is able to send the homeless pets to stateside rescues at no cost to the Humane Society of St. Thomas. But funds are needed to continue the PWW mission. Funds cover all the costs related to the transport: medical needs, health certificates, airline fees, ground transportation and travel bags and crates. PWW needs your support through donations and volunteering to continue to save lives. Please consider donating and/or volunteering.
