Prishtina Dog Shelter is a non-profit Organisation (NGO) created in 2014 to primarily rescue, treat, shelter, and neuter the poorest condition of tens of thousands dogs and cats on the streets of Kosovo. Prishtina Dog Shelter , was created and registered in July of 2014 for the purpose of relieving the terrible plight of the thousands of ill treated street dogs and cats in Kosovo as well as improving the treatment of owned dogs and cats. To date over 700 hundred dogs and cats have been taken from the streets, returned to health, and prepared for adoption with

A big thank you to these two wonderful ladies who visited PDS today for a project at their University regarding the morality of adopting dogs. They showed our dogs so much love and will be volunteering in the near future to give Rudy some more pets and love. 🖤🐾

Raising Awareness about adoption and our shelter is a tremendous help and allows us to properly inform our communities about how we can bridge the gap for the large population of street dogs.

We have updated our donation accounts and would love to extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who continues to contribute to our mission.

Thank you to Kujtim Hoxha for giving us a generous donation of vitamins and care items for dogs and puppies, we received a large amount of vitamins and can’t wait to use them on our shelter dogs.

The vitamins included calming supplements, various puppy growing vitamins, skin care vitamins, and more.

During the cold months, warmth is crucial for survival for a lot of our dogs. The large donation of straw helps them stay warm. Thank you so much for the support and donation!

Sot me ndihmen e vullnetareve te ushtrise Amerikane vendosem kashte “straw” qent ishin te ngazellyer dhe te lumtur. Ne ndihemi krenar qe kemi vullnetar nga Amerika.

Eda and Klesta are doing two weeks of voluntary work. They are in their last year of secondary school. It is mandatory to do voluntary work before they go to study abroad. It is rare to have local volunteers. We really appreciate if we had more local volunteers, please consider volunteering and send us a message if you’d like to help us. 🙏🏽🐾

Our new staff member, Besjana, speaking about why adoption is important to our student interviewers today and providing wound care for our dog who was treated for a large mammary tumor. A lot of dogs are unfortunalely used for breeding, leaving many puppies helpless and the mama dogs left to fend for themselves in very unfortunate circumstances. Our team has began to learn the basics of treatment to help when our resources are limited. This allows us to continue helping as many dogs as we can. Thank you again to the young ladies who are helping give a voice to those who can’t speak up for themselves. Your efforts do not go unnoticed!
