I have several CPD-accredited diplomas including Canine First Aid; Canine Behaviour Training; and Canine Anatomy and Physiology. Hi, I'm Jenni and I have been working as a licensed dogminder since 2015, first in Powys and now in Monmouthshire. I provide a home from home for dogs while their owners are away or at work. I live in an isolated farmhouse and am fortunate to have a large garden surround

ed by common land in the Brecon Beacons National Park. With a plethora of walks right from my gate to choose from, it’s pooch paradise. I love our four-legged friends and relish the great outdoors, so this is the perfect job for me. I had a brief spell at university without pets but when a housemate rescued some nearly drowned kittens, I adopted two of them. They are long gone but I went on to re-home Susie, a 1-year old collie x GSD, from Battersea; Max, a 10-year old collie x retriever from the Blue Cross; and Taj, a 7-year old border collie, from All Creatures Great and Small. My current rescues, Maddie and Charlie, are also border collies. They have very different back stories and their personalities are chalk and cheese but they love their new mountain lives and enjoy nothing more than to show our canine guests some of their favourite walks. Along with all my canine companions, I keep chickens (three hens and a cockerel named after the members of Boney M!) and, as I’m a Guardian for The Donkey Sanctuary, two rescue donkeys, Melvin and Shandy. They are used to having dogs around but always have to vet any newcomers - they are the ultimate nosy neighbours!
