Bumping delivery to Saturday May 29th...

May 22nd will be 4 weeks from our last delivery date; however, it is also the long weekend and I know many people may be planning to get away. I hope it works for the majority to bump our delivery to the following week of Saturday May 29th.

If you run out of food before then, you are more than welcome to come pick-up here. With "lockdown" it gives you an excuse to get out of the house and go for a drive. ;-)

We did it! C&DES is proud to announce that the Water Valley Fire Hall has obtained a Dwelling Protection Grade of 3B from the Fire Underwriters Survey. What does that even mean? Good question!

The FUS takes in factors like equipment, membership numbers, training levels of responders, water supply, and much more to create a Dwelling Protection Grade for an area. Water Valley went from a rating of unprotected and jumped two levels to reach 3B! A huge thank you to our responders who have worked and trained for years to achieve this rating.

What does that mean for you? Another good question! Residences within 8 km driving distance of the hall could see significant reductions in their insurance rates. It could take up to two months for these changes to take effect, so bear with us. Residents should keep an eye on their mailbox for a letter from Mountain View County, Alberta with more details.

We need your help! Maintaining this grade takes lots of hands and we could use a few more. If you are interested, we would love to hear from you!
