We have been in rescue for almost 20 years. Together we have decided we wanted to help the kitties that not all rescues would or could help. Senior kitties, shy kitties, hospice kitties and very sick kitties. We started up Forgotten Felines of WNY, INC. To do just that. It's been an adventure of happiness, sadness and heartache.

Along the way we have had to shut down here and there to help the kitties in our care. Well 2024 has been the worst yet. We put 90% of all needed funds into rescue out of our own pockets along with caring for ourselves, our families and our own pets. Often we go without so the foster kitties can have the necessary food, litter, meds, supplements and vet care. Sadly 2025 isn't looking any better as we just cant financially keep up with the needs and costs of rescue and our personal needs in life.

We are truly doing our best. We simply cannot keep up working multiple jobs each to do this. We are grateful for all the support and help. We hope to be here in 2025 but saldy it's grim looking. We are at a loss of what to do. We fundraise as much as possible. Hold events as often as we can. Its not easy with working multiple jobs and trying to be there for our families as well as rescue. We truly are doing what we are capable of and we are beyond exhausted mentally, physically and emotionally.

We get emails and texts that sadly aren't nice as to why we don't do more! The answer is simple: We cant!!!! We just don't have the time, funds or energy. We are doing our best. That answer is never satisfying enough to some.

Adoptions are non existent and the kitties needs don't stop nor do the medical bills.

We advise to people on other rescues when we have to say no. We know everyone is stretched thin!

Please keep us in your thoughts as we try to stay active and continue to help the kitties moving forward! We are not doing so great on making this happen as there's just not enough! We are doing our best so please be kind!!!

This is the best way we can inform people about the kitties we have available. There are two of us who do all the work on the website, page and follow up messages and emails. Please take a look at our website if you are interested in any kitties we have available we do require a preliminary adoption application and a virtual home check.

We are hoping to start off the new year with a Bang!!!! Hoping 2025 is a wonderdul year for all rescues big and small and definitely for us!!!!

We are struggling just as much as others and the hits won't stop.

Sweet Charlie is going in for his blood work, scan and polyp removal. Luckily his eye is doing better at this point.

In the same week we need to pay for our autoship of meds/supplements.

All this will total a horrible amount of $1700.00 all in the week of January 13th!!!!

On top of that we have 2 of the dunkirk kitties that still need vetting.

WE ARE STILL $1365.00 SHORT!!!! AS OF SUNDAY DEC 29TH.

Remember your local animal shelters and rescues during the giving of the season. Any and all help is greatly appreciated by them all.we all including supporters do out very best and are always stressed to make it to the next day with funds and supplies.

Have a homeless shelter near you, maybe volunteer for a day, drop off some gloves or hats or even toiletries for those in need.!!

Rescue never ends and more times than not we end up fronting the bills and then we end up with the cat that is not adoptable and cannot be returned to the location due to no caretakers or the situation is dangerous. Yes they can go to barn homes but those are becoming increasingly hard to find. So this beautiful boy Toby went to a foster and had very little improvement as far as being social. So where did he end up, yep with our rescue. We are working in trusting new people but as you can see he is a lover just needs someone to put the time in. He will most likely never be adopted because of this. But here he is in all his glory Toby. Time and patience is key. Cats like this require a person who is calm, low anxiety, and low stress. Update on sweet FIP+ Gabriel Another fantastic job to all of our supporters to help this wonderful boy fight the odds. Gabriel is still on treatment and it's his 93rd day. He is prolonged a bit due to some setbacks he has had. He is on track again and doing great. This is all because of the wonderful support from you all.

Sweet ruby and cricket are ready for their forever home. These 2 girls came to us after the only momma they knew Sadly couldn't care for them any long. At the young ages of 3 and 6 they really long for a home to call theirs again Ruby( tabby) is very out going and loving. Cricket( tortie) shy and sweet but once she wants up is an absolute lover. They need a home on the quiet side and no dogs. Other cats would be fine with proper Introduction. Their adoption fee is sponsored to an approved adopter. .

We have raised wnough for 2 vials....need funds 8 more!!! abriel is doing great with his treatment. We were able to order a few vials of his medication but to make it through to the end we need 10 more. They are $52 each. Any amount is helpful. We cnat belive Gracie has not been adopted yet. She is, sweet, loving, playful and beautiful. Looking for a kitty like her reach out. All her babies have found forever homes. Now it's her turn. Gracie is approx 2 yrs old. Does well with other animals after proper Introduction and loves everyone she meets.
