Good morning all you cat lovers; we would like to introduce Jeffrey our latest foster cat.
Jeffrey is a very confident, friendly boy who loves nothing more than sitting on a lap being stroked, enjoys chin rubs and doesn’t mind being brushed. He’s very calm and loving and likes to be around people.
Jeffrey went for a little trip yesterday to the vets for a check-up and what a very good boy he was. He plonked himself down on the weighing scales which gave the perfect opportunity to check his weight. Gosh, weighing in at 6.9 kilos Jeffrey is a rather chunky boy with the vet suggesting he needed to lose a few pounds. Foster mum will be regulating portion sizes and definitely only a few treats.
While foster mum Carolyn took a break this morning, daughter Xanthe took over to give lots of strokes and ear tickles. As you can see from the pic, he was lapping it up.
Handsome Jeffrey will be 11 years old in May, microchipped and neutered.
Jeffrey is looking for a home where he will get lots of love and attention. A garden would be ideal so he can laze in the sun as the weather improves. A home with no other cats or dogs would be ideal.
We feel Jeffrey would offer companionship and enrich the lives of his new family.
To apply for Jeffrey ref 872 please email [email protected] or Whatsapp/call 07946 678264.

Now reserved for Beth, Glenn and Family.
Milo is now up for Adoption
He likes eating, playing, getting into mischief, cuddles and sleeping.
Milo at 13 weeks old is now looking for his forever home.
We think Milo would benefit from a family with children and ideally a garden to explore once he is neutered. Milo may also like a young friend so a family with a young cat would be considered.
Milo is microchipped, vaccinated, flea and worm treat.
Once old enough Milo will need to be neutered.
Could you offer Milo his forever home?
if yes, please email [email protected] quoting ref: 855 Milo

Freida left Portsmouth today for her new home in Lee on the Solent with Imogen, Louis and Freya.
Waiting for Freida was a new bed, activity centre and catnip toys. We think she will be one very spoilt cat.
It took no time at all for Freida to start exploring and playing with her toys.

Thank you to our fosterer Carolyn and family for taking such good care of Bindi while in our care. Thank you for all the time you give taking cats to the vets, feeding, cleaning out litter trays and hours of your time spent with keeping foster cats company.
Gosport Cats Lost Found Rehomed were busy this morning when we collected Bindi from foster mum to take to her new home to live with Caroline.
Once out of the carrier Bindi was quick to start exploring her new surroundings and getting to know Caroline.
Caroline decided she would like to rename Bindi so she will now be known as Cindy.
We wish them both a long and happy life together.

Hello everyone,
Bindi was spayed yesterday and doing OK but, like most cats, she hates the buster collar. We just need to keep an eye on Bindi over the next few days to make sure she doesn't start licking the spay area. She is getting lots of attention from her foster mum and a few extra treats.
Good news for Bindi is that she is now reserved for Caroline. We think they are a perfect match and will be good company for each other.
Thank you to everyone who showed interest in Bindi. Even though you were not successful this time we will have plenty more cats coming up for adoption.
Thank you.

Freda is now up for Adoption
There is no finer cat out there. She's friendly, affectionate, trusting, likes a chat, and is so very gentle. Her fur is the softest known to mankind. She loves play, having her hair brushed, and being picked up for cuddles. Big fan of under chin scratches and bird tv. And if you're lucky she might carry your socks around."
Freda is looking for a home with a garden so she can explore the great outdoors.
Her foster mum feels sure Freda would be good around children, not sure about other animals.
Freda is 12 months old, spayed, microchipped, flea and worm treated.
If you would like to offer Freda her forever home, please email: [email protected] or Whatsapp/call 07946 678264.

NOW RESERVED FOR CAROLINE

BINDI is now up for Adoption
Sad news for Bindi. The people interested in adopting Bindi have now decided its too soon to adopt again. Sad for Bindi but sometimes this happens and we understand the timing is not right for them.
So lovely Bindi is up for adoption again.
Today Bindi was at the vets for her spay and is now at home recovering with fosterer Carolyn.
When she moves to her new family it will take time for her to adjust but it won't take long for her to come out of her shell.
Likes:
Loves her food.
Sitting beside her foster family on the sofa.
Interups foster mum when at work by walking over her laptop.
Loves dozing in patches of sun.
Dislikes:
When her dinner is finished! 😿
Bindi will make a fabulous furry feline addition to any home.
We are looking for someone with a garden so she can explore once she can go outside.
A family with no cats / dogs would be ideal.
Bindi is around 4 years old, spayed today and of course microchipped.
If you’d like to know more about adopting Bindi or how the adoption process works give us a call 📞 on 07946 678264 or send an email to [email protected]📧
Such a sweet girl, please consider offering Bindi her forever home.

Hi everyone, meet Bindi who came into our care yesterday afternoon. She was first seen last October eating food put out for the foxes. Her confidence slowly grew and she ventured into finder’s house and made herself comfortable. After advertising and no owner coming forward we agreed to help. When Bindi was scanned, sadly no microchip was found.
Since coming into care she hid behind the sofa. New surroundings often means it will take time for a cat to adjust and confidence grow.
We managed to get her in the cat carrier this morning without any problems.
Off to the vets for a checkup with vet Silvie at Companion Care Vets. Bindi stayed very calm throughout the examination. She does have a tooth missing and aged between 4 & 5. It can be difficult to pinpoint an age as diet will have a lot to do with the state of a cats teeth. We now need to find out if Bindi is spayed before she goes up for adoption. If you would like to donate to cats in our care please give us a call/whatsapp 07946678264. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

GOOD NEWS: Tabitha is now reserved for Victoria, Ross, Milo and Oscar

Tabitha's confidence is growing day by day and now happy to have cuddles from fosterer Carolyn. She likes being picked up and likes head rubs and being stroked. Tabitha is slowly becoming a lap cat and loves company and attention.
Tabitha was a little poppet at her 2 vet appointments this week and is now slowly recovering from her spay operation.
We are looking for a forever home for Tabitha. A home with no dogs or cats, we know Tabitha became very stressed by other cats in her previous home. Tabitha is eating well and using her litter tray. She is slowly starting to play and we feel a family home with a garden for her to explore would be ideal.
If you would like to adopt Tabitha please email [email protected] or call 07946 678264

28/12/2023

Lionel is our lion hearted young man who is looking for his new forever home.
He's a charmingly friendly and charismatic kitty who loves to play and explore his surroundings. Lionel has a big heart that is fond of children, and he will happily lend a helpful paw or two when it comes to playing with children. Curiously inquisitive, Lionel enjoys exploring his environments and getting to know his family well. Whilst living with our wonderful fosterer Laura, Lionel fitted into the family almost immediately. He got his little paws stuck into game time with the family, play time with the children, and relaxing enjoying his own time snoozing around the house. His delightful and compassionate nature was felt by the whole family. With a kind heart and playful spirit; he also has a beautiful coat to match his infectious personality.
Ideally, Lionel is looking for a family who can keep him active and entertained as well as snuggled and passionately cared for. He's looking for life-long friends and family and will be a great addition to the family who chooses him. With his cheeky smile, his bright eyes, and his bushy tail; Lionel will melt your heart as well as keep you smiling.
Ideally, Lionel would prefer to be the only cat in his household as he's a big boy with an even bigger personality.
If you are interested in Lionel becoming a part of your family, please contact us. Email: [email protected] or call/whataspp 07946 678264 for more details.
Thank you and a Meowy Happy New Year

Rescues hope that when cats are adopted, they are moving into their “forever homes”; however, sometimes a number of cats come back into care through no fault of their own.
You will be aware Lionel was adopted by Jacqueline and Lee and already had a cat called Dave. Even though Dave and Lionel have never met Dave is very unhappy and won’t eat, and taken to hiding under the bed. Sadly, Dave doesn’t appear to like Jacqueline and Lee at the moment which is upsetting for both of them. Dave’s been with them for a number of years so they really need to put him first, hence Lionel coming back into care.
We regularly get questioned why a cat must go to a family with no other cats, well, this is one of the reasons. Even though Lionel is chilled and very sociable, any resident cat may not be happy another cat in now in their home.
Lionel is back up for adoption.
Lionel was found as a stray, possibly his owner moved and for whatever reason left him behind.
Lionel is a really friendly boy with a big personality who loves being with people and is great with children. If you think you could offer Lionel a home please get in touch.
Please email [email protected] or call/Whatsapp 07946678264 if interested in adopting Lionel.

BLUEBELLE is now reserved for Debra & Graeme

Bluebelle is now up for adoption
Our lovely Bluebelle is 3 years old, microchipped, vaccinated, flea and wormed. She is a sweet natured girl but it will take time for her to adjust in a new home.
Being a British Blue, she is very placid and easy going, enjoys spending her time lounging around and napping rather than being highly active
She is starting to play and loves fuss and rewards you with lots of purring. Unfortunately, she was in the habit of only eating her food with lick-e-licks on top and too many treats which caused her to be overweight. With time and perseverance, she appears to have now kicked the lick-e-licks habit.
Bluebelle would best suit a home with no dogs or cats, older children and some company during the day. In her previous home she did have access to an enclosed garden which she enjoyed.
Looking forward to hearing from you if interested in adopting Bluebelle.
Please email [email protected] or whatsapp/call 07946 678264. Ref: 838
Thank you.

Kittie is now in her forever home with Jodi. 07.11.23

We have been asked to help an owner who needs to rehome his cat Kittie. The owner finds himself in a very difficult situation and unable to take Kittie with him when he moves.
Kittie is 10 years old, microchipped and spayed. She was originally adopted from Tje Ark many years ago. Kittie will be vaccinated before going to her new home.
She is a sweet natured cat, loves her food then happy to snuggle on the owners lap. Kittie also likes going outside and exploring the garden. Kittie is happy to use a litter tray.
She would be ideal with a single person or family with older children. If you think you could offer Kittie a home please give us a call on 07946 678264 or email [email protected] (please remember to leave your phone number.

Sugar & Casper are now back up for adoption.
Unfortunately, the person interested in adopting the pair her circumstances have changed and now unable to commit.
Sadly, their owner passed away and a family member is kindly looking after them. It is important we find a family who can give them time as they have been use to having people around during the day.
A single person who works from home or family with older children would be ideal but no dogs. The cats have always been housecats but we are sure would be happy if they had access to a cateo or secure garden.
If interested in adopting Sugar & Casper please get in touch by emailing [email protected] please remember to leave your phone number or call Gosport Cats LFR on 07946 678264

Olivia is now up for Adoption
Beautiful Olivia went to the vets today and it was a clean bill of health. For a 15 year old cat she is in good condition and and no heart murmour. She doesn't have many teeth but the few she does have are all good She was microchipped and had her 1st vaccination, claws clipped and wormed and already flea treated. Olivia was brilliant just loving all the attention. Olivia would make someone a lovely companion, she loves being groom, and happy to relax next to you on the sofa. MAYO is now in her new home.

MAYO IS UP FOR ADOPTION.
If interested, please contact Carole on 07946678264 or email [email protected]

Mayo is feeling sad that she cannot find her forever home.
Several people where interested but their circumstances changed so not able to continue with the adoption.
Mayo is so adorable and such a friendly girl who loves company and now full of confidence.
Since her brother was adopted she loves all the attention and quite happy to play and have cuddles.
A home with no dogs but may consider a home with perhaps another young cat.
You would be rewarded with lots of purrs, cuddles and tummy tickles.
Her foster family really love Mayo but its now time for her to venture further afield to her forever home.
A garden would be appreciated so she could explore. You could spend hours together relaxing in the shade during the summer months. Mayo does like company during the day.
Mayo is 10 months old, microchipped, spayed, 1st vacs with 2nd vaccination booked.
If you would like to adopt Mayo please get in touch.
Email [email protected] or whatsapp/call 07946 678264.
Thank you, Mayo Reference 770

MIA is now in her new home.

This sweet little girl, now called Mia, came into the care of Portsmouth Cats LFR several weeks ago. Her family decided they didn't want her anymore so she was living in neighbouring gardens. Such a dainty 7 year old weighing just 2.3 kgs when she went to foster mum Cazzie in Northend. We already had a couple looking for another cat after losing their cat Mr Humbug to ill health a few months ago. We thought Linda & Tony would be a perfect match and they went to meet Mia this morning. Immediately she stole their hearts and wanted to adopt her.
Big thank you to Cazzie for taking such good care of Mia and to Linda & Tony for offering Mia her forever home. What a purrfect day.

ZIGGY is now in his new home.

Ziggy (769) is now up for Adoption
Hi my name is Ziggy or Ziggy wiggy as my Foster family call me. I'm not particularly wiggy they just aren't very inventive when it comes to nicknames.
I am currently fostering a family of 4 humans but I'm looking for something more permanent.
Are you a family member short? Would a handsome chap like myself complete your family?
A home with a garden would be pawsome and I don't mind well behaved little humans from the age of 6 and above. I was born in September 2022, neuterered and microchipped 2 weeks ago. The humans booked my 1st vaccination for mid June. Yesterday they put that horrible flea stuff on my neck, yuk. So I'm ready and raring to go.
If interested in adopting me please email [email protected] and quote ref: Ziggy 769 or whatsapp 07946 678264.

Handsome boy Tigger was transported to his new home today and already making himself at home with Rose & Bill.
Within a few minutes of arriving he was totally relaxed and purring like an engine. Tigger particularly liked looking through the patio doors into the garden and very curious when he spotted a Magpie. After exploring the conservatory then getting lots of fuss it was time to try out his new bed.
Tigger & his new family have already messaged:
‘Hello, I've had a lovely first day in Fareham. I would like to thank Laura and her family for looking after me last week’. Sending lots of purrrrrrs Tigger
‘Oh Carole, it's like he's been here for ages. He had a good sleep in the wicker basket and in the igloo. He came into the lounge with us, sat on my lap. Fabulous little fella’. Rose & Bill.
The Gosport team are so pleased for Tigger and his new family. Have a happy life. Sending lot of hugs. xx

01/05/2023

There’s been a dramatic rise in people seeking to part with their pets, as the cost of living spirals.
Rescues have seen a massive demand to take cats into their care, many with waiting list of well over 3 months.
We are only small compared to rescues like Cats Protection, RSPCA etc but we do try and help where possible.
People sometimes adopt a pet without thinking it through then feel they cannot cope and need to surrender their cat to a rescue. Often in despair they will advertise on Facebook, we advise against the latter.
We have been asked to help a family who are unable to keep their 3 cats. This afternoon we are meeting the family and hopefully the cats. We can then make a decision if we can help or not. We have already given advice that they should contact as many local rescues as possible and get the 3 onto waiting lists.
What I’m asking our followers is, are any of you looking to adopt a cat and would consider adopting a 12 years old? We very much doubt the 3 will be rehomed together, and from what we are told they are not bonded.
Are you are in a position to adopt a 12 year old cat? if yes, please get in touch by emailing [email protected] or contact us on 07946 678264 or Whatsapp.
Many thanks. Gosport Cats Lost Found & Rehomed. (part of Portsmouth Cats LFR)

Sabrina is now in her new home with Sarah.

Sabrina is now up for Adoption
Sabrina came into care when her owners circumstances changed. In April Sabrina will be 2 years old and already had 2 litters of kittens. Sabrina is slowly becoming more affectionate and trusting but would need a family who have patience, happy to give her space and eventually access to a garden. She is microchipped, flea and worm treated and appointment made for her spay. Black cats can be difficult to rehome and often get overlooked which is a great shame.
Please consider adopting Sabrina and contact [email protected] tel: 07946 678264 quoting ref: 737
Many thanks.
