One of the mistakes I personally have made, was giving my working line GSDs too much exercise trying to be a good working dog parent. I was in a constant struggle of chasing the tired dog state I thought he should have. Everyone says provide exercise for your high drive dogs….so I thought I was doing what was best for him. Nope! I created a dopamine ju**ie! I learned later from a trainer that, we need to balance exercise with mental stimulus, physical activity and also equally important is down time (the off switch). We started practicing settling and the duration was to increase daily. I no longer appeased random demands to play but instead provided activities that are both calming or high energy….we mix up it up depending on what state he is in. If he is already hyped up, we will do calmer activities and if he is calm we will engage in something higher energy. This has created balance for my high drive dogs….so we don’t have to live in a constant state of crazy shepherd! Lol 😂 There is a time and place for play and for quiet time. I had to learn to focus on achieving quiet with my dogs, the crazy is easy! We both are happier with this balance.❤️🐾

Ghost and I had a great weekend at the PNW Scent Work Trial! He earned five qualified finds and a new title in interiors! And in addition to that, as a bonus (based on fastest times), he received a fourth place in exteriors and a fourth place in container. Best of all was a 17 second find that earned him a first place in exteriors! So proud of my boy! ❤️🐾🏆 Thank you PNW AKC Scentwork Club for putting together such a fabulous event. Best Scent Club in the NW!

Ghost and I are on our second day of the PNW Scent Work Trial. So far this trial he has earned 4 qualifications and a title in Novice A Interiors and tomorrow he has moved up to Advanced Interiors class. He also achieved two 4th place fast time placements. I am super proud of my boy. ❤️🐾 Ghost of Pearlinhaus CGC, TKN, VSWI, SIN ❤️🐾

It’s Raven’s 4th Birthday Today! This sweet girl has our hearts. 💕 She is such a good dog. Extra grateful as she recently had complications whelping. Speedy recovery ❤️‍🩹 our special girl. 🐾

It's essential that every puppy learns to enjoy being handled, especially on the parts of the body that turn into common bite triggers. Early puppyhood handling and socialization is easy to do and makes a huge difference in a dog's temperament and quality of life, for the rest of their life!

Starting on August 1, all dogs entering the U.S. (including those that left the U.S. and are returning, and regardless of the country they are coming from) must be:
• healthy upon arrival
• at least 6 months of age
• microchipped
• accompanied by a CDC Dog Import Form receipt and required vaccination and veterinary documents.

Additional requirements may apply depending on where the dog has been in the last 6 months and whether or not the dog was vaccinated in the United States.

Ghost and I are at a Scent Work Trial in Longview Washington. He got a couple qualifying runs! They were fast! ❤️🐾 Way to go my buddy!

We are helping find this beautiful girl find a forever home. She is a sweet 2.5 year old, spayed, sable GSD.

Rizzo's Himmel Vom Kriegergeist "Greta" is AKC registered. Her pedigree is from the Kraftwerk line. We have all genetic information by Embark as well.

Update: This sweet girl found her forever home with a family. ❤️🐾

She's very play motivated and athletic. She loves to play fetch and jump for toys. She's also a snuggle bug who would love to spend evenings cuddled on the couch. She's obedient and smart.

She will need continued training for toy guarding.

Greta would do great in a home with someone who knows how to work with smart dogs and has time to work with her on sharing toys and greeting other dogs. Needs room to run. No cats or chickens.

Yes 🙌 our dogs are health screened prior to producing our beautiful babies. Puppies raised in our home not in a kennel and exposed to people, pets and various stimuli. Our hope is always too have puppies that exceed your expectations. ❤️🐾

This was Romeo (one of puppies), this video is the next day after a visit from Ghost (his sire). This puppy lives where I board my horses and he was checking my car to see if his dad was going to leap out like he did the day before. Ghost hadn’t even played with him much but he sure must have enjoyed his visit. I eventually had to open the door and show him there wasn’t a dog in my car. lol 😂 Poor sad baby.
