Plastics are one of the highest generated waste in the Philippines, which is non-renewable, do not biodegrade, and take thousands of years to break down. There’s also a lack of alternative products to replace single-use plastic. resPAWnsible has to be a part of an eco-friendly and plastic-free journey to single-use bags.
Imagine how many times our dog has to poo in a year? That’s a lot of dog poo! And if you’re using plastic bags (and others marketed as ‘degradable’), it could take many years to decompose, and when they do, they simply turn into micro-plastics which contaminate the environment. We now have a choice, place these poops into plastic to sit in a landfill for the next 100 years or enable them to be back into the ground for 3 months.
But what do we, as pawrents do to handle this stinking problem? Switching to our compostable bags would be a simple and sustainable way to reduce your use of plastic footprint. We’re proud to say that our bags are 100% plant-based and compostable certified by DIN CERTCO (Gesellscaft fur Konformitatsbewertung mbH) with registration No. 7P0588. We are even happier to offer high-quality of strong and durable yet break down in just 90 days bags!
Our bags are designed to be recycled by industrial composting but don’t worry if for any reason a compostable bag escapes into the environment. It will biodegrade slowly depending on how much oxygen is around, just like a twig does.
