Weigh day!

This week I am down to 31.75kg! Another 1kg this week! Woo hoo! All my daily walks are paying off!

27/02/2020

Just want to say a huge thank you to Shelley for our Maisies ramp. Car rides are the best and even better now that she can climb in by herself!

And also a big thank you to everyone for all the donations so far, and Orijen Petfoods NZ for the weight loss food, to help Maisie to reach her beach bod and a healthier lifestyle!

Slow and steady, the Maisie way!

Hey Maisie, can we have a nice pic for all the cool people following your journey?

Or we could have this pic 🤦🏼‍♀️😂

At least she’s moving!

Weigh in and health check up day!

We are happy to report Maisie is down to 32.8kg!! Almost a kg in a week! We are so proud of her ❤️

The vet has told us she is able to have her surgery when she’s under 30kg, so that gives us our first target to aim for, and we know it won’t take long.

Maisie adored the vet, so was quite happy to let her get her ears cleaned and medicated, and vaccinate her.

We are now on the lookout for a doggy ramp, as Maisie is not the most agile of dogs, nor can her foster mum lift her, so if you have one you don’t need, please let us know! They’re also on sale at 1-day too 😉

Thanks for following Maisies journey, I’m sure she would be so happy to know she has so many supporters 💕

On my way to my weigh in!!! Feeling positive.... 💜

20/02/2020

Thanks so much to Orijen Petfoods NZ for sending Maisie some fit and trim food to help her with her weight loss journey. As you can see she’s pretty happy....

One day till her first weigh in, give us your guesses!!!

It’s been a really hot day today, so Maisie is really struggling!
Time for a nap, then another walk when the temperature is cooler.
2 more days till her first weigh in!

17/02/2020

Time for a trip to the park with Maisies foster sister and brother.
What better way to show her that exercise is fun than to see others enjoying it!
Maisie heads off to the vet on Friday for her checkup and weigh in, fingers crossed she’s losing a bit 😉
Go Maisie!

Maisies Journey to Health

Meet Maisie. Maisie is 7 years old and has ended up in the Silverdale Animal Shelter through no fault of her own. The team there knew she had huge potential so gave us a call and asked if we would like to help her. And we couldn’t say no!

Maisie is currently 33.7kg (As at 16 Feb 2020) and needs to be 20-24kg , so she has a long road ahead of her, but we are up for the challenge!

She will also need a dental, as one of her teeth needs to come out, so as you can imagine we have a lot going on with her.

Please join Maisies Journey to become a slimmer, more healthier version of herself, and helping her find her forever home! Maisie is in the care of Chained Dog Rehabilitation & Rehoming - www.chaineddog.org.nz
