Kerry and I want to give a great BIG thank you to all who have supported this page and the cause of non-profit spay and neuter clinics. As life happens, it changes and in turn we change with it. Kerry and I will be shutting down this page and cancel all events.

THANK YOU--THANK YOU--THANK YOU. You're all the best supportive people we've ever encountered. God bless you and yours and may you find the Wind at your back, the sun on your face and Blessing in abundance.

Merry Christmas everyone! Kerry and I are in the beginnings of planning another trail challenge. This time, we’re working on returning to an arena and creating as many natural obstacles as we can sprinkled with horsemanship skills. As soon as we have details, we’ll be posting again.

We lost a great horseman today. Alan Flynn unexpectedly passed away this week. In our cover video, he is riding his horse T-Bird, who had also left this earth. Reunited, I'm sure they'll be riding the skies with the other angels. Bless you, Alan. "Happy Trails to you--until we meet again..."

I'm a little late in posting this, but I want to congratulate Linda Shambaugh for holding the winning poker hand on Saturday with a full house.

The finish line brought everyone back to the camping area. The last obstacle was a kiddie swimming pool. This whole grassy area is the camping site.

First “obstacle “ was a natural puddle. It’s was maybe an inch deep. The horses were convinced it went all the way to China.

We had a great turn out GALB trail ride. Thank you to all who participated. About 3pm we only had a short burst of sprinkles, otherwise it was beautiful.
Special shoutout to Sarah and Scott who ran the whole trail in an hour, with a pitchfork to clean up the p**p. You all are wonderful people.
Please feel free to post photos or videos! We’d love to see them.

Overhead map of the Staging Area for the event:
1. The area is 240' long and 190ft wide.
2. You can see actual truck and trailers in this Google Earth photo to get an idea of the size.
3. DO NOT park like the real vehicles in the grey parking area. (Use the cartoon truck as an example) Please back your rig in as close as you are comfortable with space for everyone's horses on either side.
4. Behind the bathroom is additional parking for the campers. 7 rigs should fit in there comfortably. Please back in or pull in straight. (That is an actual rig in the photo).
5. First to arrive, drive all the way inside and start parking at the pavilion and then as others arrive they can gradually fill in toward the road. Everyone should fit if we do it in that order. There is LOTS of room for turning around.
6. A check-in person will be at the parking lot entrance to help guide everyone. :)
7. The Official check-in spot will be at the pavilion.
8. Reminder: There is no water or electricity here. Only bathrooms.
9. Boulders are plenty for mounting if needed.
10. NO ATVs are allowed on the trails this weekend. Bikers, runners, and hikers may be using the trails.
11. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE clean up after yourself and your horses. Toss all p**p into the woods. PLEASE! If you see trash, please pick it up...even if it isn't yours. We want to be welcomed back.
THANK YOU AND HAVE FUN!!!

I have received a few entries for the 11:45-1:45 ride time with notes that people are planning to ride with others during that time. However, I have not received entries yet for the other people and the time period is pretty well full.

If you were planning on riding during that time frame with your friends, I need the entries emailed and payment sent immediately to hold the spot. Your Coggins/vaccines can follow later as long as I receive them before the trail ride. I will hold the spots for a couple of more days before filling them.

At this point only the 9-11 and 2:30-4:30 have remaining spots unless we don't receive the above mentioned entries.

03/04/2019

Hey guys! Reminder, that April 30th we'd like to have all the entry packets in with paid fees. Don't worry about the vet and vaccinations paperwork if you don't have them by that day. As long as you have them by the time the ride happens, you're good. You can email them at a later date or take a picture and message them to GALB.

Also, clothing orders need to be in by the middle of next week or they won't have time to print them. Even if you can't ride with us, the clothing sales will help with donations. We take Paypal!

The weather is getting warmer! We're getting excited.

PS...ATV's will not be allowed on the trail at Michaux at the time of our event, if that was a concern for anyone.

02/04/2019

I wanted to let everyone know the 11:45-1:45 time slot is getting full fast so if you were hoping to ride then, please get your entry in asap.

There is still room in the earlier and later times, but if you have a larger group please get your entries in soon to be sure we can accommodate you.

If you need an entry either PM the page or email me at [email protected]

Thanks!!!

Thank you, Christina Bailey!! Her bid won the painting.

Campers! This place is just a few miles down the road and has been offered by my hay supplier as a place to stay with your horses.

Unforgettable trips start with Airbnb. Find adventures nearby or in faraway places and access unique homes, experiences, and places around the world.

25/03/2019

Camping: IF all monies are sent in, we have room for 2 more rigs. Maybe 3 if they're a bumper pull and people will tent it. It's $25 a night. There is only a bathroom. No water, no electricity, no tie outs for the horses and specially the ranger stated we cannot tie to the trees. He will be at the event. He's a nice guy, but rules are rules. We'd like to be invited back.
On the entry sheet, just write in size of your rig, and add $25 to the fee total.
ALSO: There is a nice cabin my personal hay supplier has offered. Its' only a few miles down the road and has amenities for horses. His link is posted...I'll repost it in the comments below. If you really really want the camp site at the Piney Mountain parking lot where the event kicks off...shoot Paypal money to Beckoning Cat Project attention Kerry and Camping Reservation.

Even if you can't ride with us at the event...you can still help by purchasing apparel. :) We'll ship out of town for the shirt + shipping fees.

We're waiting for the official mock-up of our 2019 GALB t-shirts offered for sale. (what you see pictured is my attempt to show an example.) Pictures are for reference only.

The Racer back has a very light terry cloth lining. My daughter is a fitness instructor and loves her racer back tank and also tells me its a big seller for those who take her classes. We thought it would be great for those hot humid days of barn chores, too.

Cancun blue is the theme color, along with dark grey. We can special order a color, per request. The front logo will be in the upper left corner, and a big logo on the back, the exception being the tank top.

T-shirts are long bodied and cover the 'b***y'.

Order form is coming soon.

The racerback will have a glitter logo...yes...
fancy-schmancy. ;)

Work-up for final price is in motion. Approximate costs:
T-shirts: $20
Hoodies: $40
Racer-tank: $30

12/03/2019

The entry packets are ready. If you would like one, please either send a PM to this page or email [email protected] It doesn't let me attach it to the post directly.

We hope everyone will be able to join us!

More info will be coming regarding t-shirts we will have for sale.
