Fosters desperately needed at 🐾🙏🏽❤️

We know we’ve posted some really difficult cases lately, and the content has been tough to follow. But this is our reality right now. We need fosters to join our team, or we can’t keep going. We keep saying it, but it becomes truer every day, with every new case…we are drowning, but we don’t have a choice. We have never had so many dogs at once, much less so many medical cases. And what we need more than anything now are fosters. For the last year + we have had dogs in the wings, waiting at our boarding facility to move into foster. We now are out of room at boarding, out of room at our vets, and yet we still inundated with daily tags, emails, texts about dogs who urgently need our help. With a wider network of fosters, we can say yes more easily. The constant chaos of “we want to help, but where do we put this dog” will be mitigated. If you can become a Mutt Scouts foster, you will literally be saving a life you didn’t even know existed. You will allow us to operate on a higher platform. We can’t do this without you. There is never a lot of light at the end of the rescue tunnel because the problem is so overwhelmingly large…but for each dog, each little survivor…the light is so bright, if only someone will step up to help. URGENT MIDDLE TENNESSEE FOSTERS NEEDED 🐾🆘🚑🐶
Please help Critter Cavalry get these poor female-year-old pups and their momma out of this filthy pen. They have been here all their life with little clean water and who knows about the food. This should not be happening in our beautiful Middle Tennessee. If you had to rate their living conditions on a scale of 1 to 10, we would challenge anyone to even given them anything but a big fat ZERO! .
Who could look at these dogs and say they are OK where they are now?!? They are starving for everything in their life. Food, clean water, a decent place to live, and attention. The woman who walked over to their pen after visiting with a friend and seeing their situation said they ran to her just begging for some attention and a kind word. It was heartbreaking for her to see and she has come to us for help! .
Please help us get them out and in a clean place to stay till we can find a foster or an adopter. Critter Cavalry covers all vetting and costs associated with fostering. We need a clean, safe foster home for them to stay in where they don't have to slop around in the hideous mud and f***s that are never cleaned from their pen. One adult momma dog and three female pups that have grown up in this disgustingly dirty pen and with no attention.
We have to stop this now for them! Any donations to help us vet these sweet pups would be so appreciated. They will make someone great companions in life if we
can get them OUT! .

🐾❤️⚖️It's 's National Animal Justice Week!
This is our newest rescue, Romy. The heroes from Sweden-based Hounds Seeking Homes () were alerted after someone saw her struggling in the streets of a Romania when a man axed off her paw for money.
Hounds Seeking Homes put her in their animal ambulance and provided her a life-saving amputation of her dangling appendage and other medical care.
We are so eager to bring our new little girl home in April.
Combating the crime of animal cruelty isn't only about animals--- animal abusers are 5x more likely to commit violent acts against other people. Robust cruelty laws keep communities safe for ALL beings.
Unfortunately, we'll never find the "person" who did this to our girl. All we can do is work to get her out of there, give her a life of love and safety, while supporting the awesome people like so many of you who dedicate your most precious resource-- time-- to rescuing, rehabilitating and giving animals second chances.

He may have taken her leg but not her ability to trust, show affection, and -- of course-- smile.
We just officially got the news that we'll be getting Romy (.smiles ) out of Romania by April (when her passport and transport are ready)! .
⚠️(before you swipe) pic #2 is Romy's leg as she was found after the attack. 3rd pic is the surgery she had to remove the dangling appendage for a cleaner amputation and shot at a healthier, active and somewhat pain-free life. The people who do this work in and out of Romania are my heroes.

The practice of animal cruelty in Romania is government-sanctioned and financially incentivized. . .

Dogs are burned, poisoned and severely-maimed. If you turn body parts of dogs into the local municipality you're financially rewarded as proof you've killed a dog. . .
WHY?
In 1980's Romania, their brutal and unhinged communist dictator (Ceausescu) began an era of industrialization bringing people from the countryside closer to urban areas where there was not enough housing for them. . .

They then built sprawling, cramped apartment complexes that pushed out into the country, displacing animals/wildlife to live on the streets and rapidly multiply. They are now seen as an infestation eradicated in the cruellest ways possible. .

There are very brave people literally risking their lives every day to shelter these dogs, provide healthcare and wound healing, birth control and relocate them to better lives around the world. Hundar söker Hem (Dogs Looking For Homes) in Sweden is one such group and we are forever grateful to them. .
