Equine Balance Anatomical Bridle with Plain Cavesson Noseband.

A beautiful soft leather bridle without the flash strap provides a simple and elegant alternative to traditional style anatomical bridles.
The smooth contoured shape at the front of the nose helps to alleviate rubbing at the facial crest and eliminates pressure on the infraorbital foramen of the skull - the exit point of sensitive facial nerves. The unique backwards orientation of the rear noseband strap provides relief in the area of the horse's premolars - unlike traditional style nosebands which can compress sensitive tissue in this area.

* Anatomical design avoids sensitive facial nerves helping to relieve issues associated with head shaking, over bending and inconsistent outline.
* Gel padded head piece, nose and brow help to dissipate pressure and reduce rubbing.
* Unique features make the bridle easy to fit for bit sensitive or head shy horses - make bit or browband changes in seconds without removing the bridle.
* Choice of diamonte or plain raised browband. Additionally, there is an option to purchase the bridle with both styles of browband.
* Cheek pieces are supplied with optional clips and can be either clipped or buckled to the bridle. There is an option to purchase additional cheek pieces for horses that require a quick bit change between disciplines.
* Custom size bridle parts are available free of charge.

So had to share. This morning there was a lady sharing the photos of her new treeless saddle and talking about how reasonable it was and how she liked some of the options.

The saddle has a pin fender adjustment option. With only a few weeks of use you can see in second picture that it is already fraying and has no leather reinforcement like the 3rd photo.

In the first photo it shows the front rigging that is riveted and then they stiched over the rivet. That stitching will rub within a few months of use and the stitching will start to fray. Also looking closely at the metal on the front rigging the metal is pitted, not a solid built stainless steel rigging.

In the end a reasonable saddle ends up being a cheap made saddle where corners are cut, they are often built off shore. This particular saddle the company says they are “designed” in Italy but doesn’t mean it’s an Italian made saddle.

The ole saying “you get what you pay for” rings true.

In an effort to be kind to the horse, many people forfeit the one thing the horse needs most: LEADERSHIP. It is your leadership that keeps him safe, provides for his needs, and sets healthy boundaries.

We all like to make decisions for the horse that improve his wellbeing - we steer him away from the barbed wire on the trail, provide farrier and medical care that he may not want, and set fences up around his pasture so he doesn’t wander into traffic. Then when it comes to boundaries that affect personal safety, I have seen some folks neglect that very same leadership role, thinking they are being “bossy” or “mean” to the horse.

The truth is, in order to continue to provide for your horse’s needs and make the decisions that are best for his wellbeing, you have to establish leadership. In his mind, in your herd of two, either YOU are the leader, or HE is. Those are the only two options.

The fear many people face is that they will lose connection with the horse if they establish leadership. Nothing could be further from the truth. When you communicate with the horse in a way he understands, and you do it consistently and fairly, you don’t sacrifice relationship - you STRENGTHEN it.

We had a wonderful saddle fitting clinic last weekend with Heather Rioux of Evolve Equine! We had 15 horses over two days, and learned about gullets, trees, saddle flare, skirting, and the importance of having a saddle that fits the rider too. Heather travels all over North America to fit saddles for some pretty competitive horses, and we were honoured to have her share her knowledge with us!
