Whimsy got (e)mail today!!
She received her OFA CHIC number, meaning she has completed and passed all the recommended protocols for Labrador Retriever specific health screenings and the results are publicly available on the OFA website. Quick reminder that our next Retriever Day is this Saturday, November 15th, with a 9:30am start time. Weather permitting we plan on having a potluck lunch after. Please feel free to bring any sides or drinks and stay for a bit!

Whimsy passed the final leg of her Started Retriever title this weekend at the S**o River Hunting Retriever Club! Huge thanks to the hosting club, each and every volunteer, and the wonderful land owners for putting on this great test!

Willow is back to school in our Gun Dog Day Camp program to get ready for pheasant and grouse season. We are excited to have her back and she brought her brother Conway to study up on his obedience too!

Spaces are available for additional Gun Dog Day campers as well as private gun dog training sessions. Live quail available for upland work! Whether you are looking for a pre season refresher or beginner gun dog basics, we’d love to chat more with you.

Welcome Winnie to our Day Camp pack!

This happy lady is here to work on recall and general off leash manners in different environments.

We do have openings for Day Training in the Weare area. It's a great alternative to doggy daycare because the dogs get individualized training sessions throughout the day while also enjoying activities like group hikes, visits to pet-friendly stores, and play time with our resident crew (if appropriate for the individual dog). Please reach out if you're interested in signing up for Day Training!

Another great weekend in Maine running at Gun’s Up HRC’s 20th anniversary test!

This test is near and dear to me because 10 years ago I joined this club and without the mentorship and support of the amazing people in it, I wouldn’t be where I am today. Thank you again to the Knowles for letting us use your awesome property and to the many hands that helped make this test run as smoothly as possible!

In no particular order….

Ms. Poppy owned by Skyla Jodoin of flying_squirrel_retrievers, completed passes #3 and #4 earning her Started Hunting Retriever (SHR) title!

Next is our own whimsical Whimsy who completely passes #2 and #3 at Started.

Finally, Rooster earned his 1st pass at the Finished level!

The Wanderlust crew had another great weekend running AKC down in Connecticut at the Labrador Retriever Club of Greater Boston’s summer test!

Poppy, owned by Skyla Jodoin of flying_squirrel_retrievers, had two awesome days and earned her Junior Hunter title!

Our own Whimsy, also earned her third Junior pass. Along with Rooster earning his third Senior pass.

Thank you to the club, Judges, and volunteers that help put these great tests together.
