The first Retriever Day went off without a hitch! It was a cold, blustery day, but these hardcore retriever owners came out and had a great time. New faces and retriever regulars alike all had a chance to watch others run the dogs and learn something from each mark. There was so much uplifting, encouraging and constructive feedback among the handlers, it was unlike any dog event I’ve ever been to. Looking forward to seeing everyone again and watching each team progress and reach their goals! Huge thanks to Todd and Dan for throwing bumpers, manning the wingers, cooking lunch, gassing up the quad and everything else you guys did this morning.

Whimsy and Evie helped set up marks in preparation for the first Retriever Day happening tomorrow!
For those planning to come:
🧊Please please bring WARM, WIND PROOF gear for yourself and your dog. Insulated snow boots strongly recommended!
🧊Plan to keep dogs crated in warm vehicles while waiting their turn.
🧊Don’t forget water for your dog and yourself!
🧊Bring your normal training gear including whistles, ecollar, duck call, etc
🧊If you’d like to bring a snack to share, please feel free!
🧊Arrival time is 9:30am. Please park in the field just before the house, using the first entrance across from Weare Fire Department building.
🧊$40/dog cash, check, Venmo accepted

Do you own a hunting retriever? Are you interested in competing in hunt tests or learning more about retriever sports? Are you looking to build like minded community where everyone can learn from each other for the betterment of the dogs and the sport?
Join us on Saturday mornings starting mid February for Retriever Training Days!
Work with an HRC Finished and Upland judge, meet other gundog owners and practice skills needed for competition and hunting dogs alike. All levels and ages welcomed, puppies, veteran dogs and off breeds etc.

Bella (Samoyed) and Liberty (husky) are loving this weather! These girls are both here for boarding with training- learning leash manners, solidifying their crate training, getting some socialization with adult dogs, and general house manners. This fluffy duo instantly hit it off and have had a ball together all week.
We have openings for boarding with training in February and March, but we only take a few dogs at a time so get your pup on the schedule today!

Even on the coldest, windiest days dogs need to get out and play! While Jax’s brother Norman spends the day training with Matt, Jax gets to hang with the resident crew by the wood stove and enjoy some one on one time playing with the herding ball while I clean the dog yard!

🏡Ever wondered what In-Home Boarding really looks like? This holiday weekend we have had Bella the Yorkie and Lucy the Lab staying with us. They, and every dog that comes into our home, are treated like one of our own dogs. They enjoy basking in front of the wood stoves, snuggling on laps (and occasionally on the 4 year old but she encourages it) and frolicking with the pack. We never have more than 2-3 boarders at a time so everyone gets plenty of attention.
Please note:
✅All boarding dogs do sleep in crates for their own safety but the rest of the time they are just one of the crew!
✅Any dog who will be boarding with us is required to come for an evaluation and meet & greet prior to the boarding reservation!
✅ All boarding dogs must be up to date on vaccines, house broken, and crate trained.
🎄We do have some holiday boarding availability still , send us a message or email to get it scheduled!
