Let’s Talk Canine Enrichment!!! 🎊🐶🎊

These are some of my favorite ways to enrich the lives of dogs outside of sniff-filled walks and a good game of fetch.

‼️ALWAYS SUPERVISE YOUR PETS WHEN THEY ARE ENJOYING TOYS!

Treat ball dispensers that the dogs have to push around to get the treats or kibble.

Licki mats to spread with peanut butter, baked sweet potato, plain canned pumpkin, plain yogurt, wet food, etc. and freeze for longer-lasting enjoyment.

Classic Kongs can also be filled with the items listed above and frozen as well.

Snuffle Mats mimic foraging! Hide treats or kibble in the layers for your dog to sniff and find.

Layered puzzle toy to fill with kibble or some training-sized treats offer a unique way to work for food.

Slow feeders can be used for meal time to slow down your pet’s eating. (I discourage the use of these if your pet is already a picky eater.)

Playology scented rope toys are great for tug! (Don’t let your dog shred a rope toy, as it increases their risk of ingesting the strings, which can be dangerous.)

Kong floppy knots animal toy are good for stronger shredders. Don’t get me wrong, it is durable, but cannot withstand aggressive shredders. That being said, I do find that they last a bit longer than a regular soft plush dog toy. (Always supervise your dog to ensure they do not eat the toy.)

Kong Wobblers can be filled with small-sized treats and must be knocked to the side for them to come out. This interactive toy can be super fun for dogs.

✅Always be mindful of how many calories you are adding to your pet’s diet when offering enrichment that involves treats. Training-treats are often lower calorie, which makes them a great treat choice.
