Hi everyone not had chance to write anything lately 🙂 been a busy few months in lots of ways but I want to mention a few new ones who are doing very well 😊 poppy who joined us last year end of September has become a beautiful willing to work lab she's nice and steady even taking fun agility in her stride. Well done Poppy 👏
We have a whippet called Marshall who has the whole family as a handler :)))) this is an achievement in its self. He's working so hard for all of them :) keep going Marshall :)
There's a Nora gsd cross Belgium shepherd mature girl working to a good standard her problem was distraction in the street and sometimes barked but since training with me she's more focused on her handler and commands. Good girl :)
Then we have Rozy a rescue from dogs trust. She's a very very strong girl but willing to learn and wants to listen she has improved over past couple of sessions really pleased for dog and owners 😀
We had a new boy join us last week called Bruce a big 6 months old cross Akita hoping to achieve as a support dog 🐕 for his young handler. He's a lovely boy with a strong head but the handler is doing very well and determined not to give up . Your both doing fine 🙂
Tonight I had another recommendation a handsome collie called Hugo 16 months love to chase cars pulls barks for attention at other dogs but tonight he started to settle down had a few small jumps out taught him to focus on hand and treats , he's definitely 1 for agility and obedience.
End of January we had Albie toy poodle join lovely handler rescued this boy just like all the others she's taken on :) credit to Tina . Albie came with a barking problem but since he's been training he's joined in and loved it :) he's alittle charmer :) kerza the young gsd has attended couple of sessions recently he's doing really well especially with distraction in the class. His heal work is improving and the owner is doing her best with handling this big boy :)
Can't forget my old faithfuls Attie and Lola still achieving a great standard in obedience and especially agility along side Seren our golden retriever she totally loves fun agility :)
So to all my handlers and dogs 🐕 keep up the good work 👏 🙌 👍

A suspect in a high-speed police pursuit was tracked through the darkness by a police dog.

Police Dog Chase and his hander PC Lee Huffer were on patrol in Mansfield Woodhouse last night (Monday) when they came across a suspected stolen car.

The car then failed to stop and made off at high speed toward Worksop, before being abandoned on the A57 near Worksop shortly after 11.20pm.

Several suspects fled the vehicle and were pursued by the dog up an embankment and into a wooded area.

A short time later the four-year-old German Shepherd picked up a scent and led his handler to a suspect who immediately gave himself up.

A 23-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle, dangerous driving, failing to stop, driving without insurance and possessing a Class B drug.

Other suspects remain outstanding and investigations are continuing.

Sergeant Jonathan Lee, of the Nottinghamshire Police dog section, said: “This is the latest in a long line of examples of what can be achieved with a well-trained police dog and handler.

“This area was shrouded in darkness and without the dog it seems very unlikely that we would have been able to bring this suspect into custody.”

Hi all you
You read so much about the xl bullies
People struggling with weather there dog is one ? should I muzzle train ? Is my dog the hight they they they should be ?
My advice as a trainer is simply this.
Find yourself a dog training school someone with exceptional experience in all forms of training breeds if they are qualified then even better.
Start training your dog, weekly classes get to know how to keep a well trained dog that's obedient trust in its owner, response to your commands and learn to understand the love loyalty a dog that can give you. Behaviour training is all well and good but get down to grass roots and training your dog. Then you will find muzzle training won't be a problem having confidence in your capabilities to control your dog won't be a problem. Trust in your trainers to guide you remember empathy, disapline, control respect the general public around you and I can guaranty from all your hard work training your dog with a trainer who will encourage the best out of both of you it will work.
A dog is never to old to learn neither is the owner!!!!

Just want to say how impressed I am with my group at moment :) the new gsd full of energy vocal aswell did extremely well for her 2nd lesson. You will succeed with her .
Coco beautiful control on leave commands and retrieve.
Lola your focus is a true farm collie working head . Your handler has done so well I can see you have turned a corner. Retrieve brilliant agility spot on .
And last but not least Attie :)
I say it every week that little girl gives her handler all she has . But tonight the focus on heal work recall over jumps was above the norm well done.
Training is so important discipline control respect it all comes as one . WELL DONE TONIGHTS GROUP

If you work hard you will achieve :)

Me and my boy kai had our first agility competition. Ive not been in the agility ring since the 80s, kai hasn't been in a agility ring . He's never met so many dogs 🐕 :) he really did me proud 1st course lost 5 faults did a good round was happy with that :) and the 2nd course he did a complete clear round 😀 😊 so I'm buzzing for him we recieved rosettes. He recieved a special treat . He never let's me down. As most of you know I teach him on my own at my training class so to achieve the rewards today well God I love ❤️ him :) proud owner ❤️ :)

Want to be able to be proud of a well trained dog . Then start at the beginning. Train your dog !
It doesn't happen over night but I can a sure you if you put the effort into learning yourself and your dog you will achieve 💯 my obedience classes run on a Monday evening at Ilkeston. I also do fun agility, private lessons for problems that need to be solved.
