Ivy has come such a long way in her training! Took her into a store today and we met another dog while there. This dog was very reactive and was pulling on the leash trying to get to us. I put Ivy in a sit/stay about 10 feet away and she just sat there and looked at the dog without trying to get to him. We also walked by a few different times and she didn’t give him a second look! This is what consistency will do for you folks! Get your dogs comfortable around other dogs and people gradually and make sure they have a calm mindset in the process. This will build your dog’s confidence and will take them a lot farther in the long run than if they didn’t have any training or socialization. Yes it takes time, it takes work, but you won’t regret it!

If you’re local and looking to get your dog trained, I know of a trainer who would love to help!😉 Message me for more info!

Place command work! No guidance, no E- collar, just commands! Consistency is key.

Meet the trainer…..

Hey y’all! My name is Chloe and I’m so excited to be able to share my dog training journey with you! I absolutely love dogs and I’ve always had them around growing up, and I’m very passionate about helping others with their dogs and puppies!

Fun facts!

• I have two dogs. A Harrier named Duchess, and a cute (not so little) Bernese Mountain Dog pup named Ivy. You’ve already seen a lot Ivy in my recent posts!

• I love horses!
• I love the outdoors!
• Trained my first dog at 13 years old!

Anyone have a question for me? Leave a comment below and I’ll do a Q&A in my story!

Training Tip of the day!

If your dog is not on voice control (meaning they do not obey your commands immediately), than they should be on a leash.
Why? This will ensure you have complete control of your dog and make sure they don’t hurt themselves or others!

So remember, the leash is ALWAYS your friend!😊

Ivy in training! No…not doing anything, but still training.

Teaching your puppy to have an attentive yet calm mindset is so important, and the “place” command is a great way to do that! This will resolve so many bad habits that they would keep getting practice in if they were allowed to roam the house.
