Meet TINY little PUNKIN’
She is a 8 week old, 2 pd ball of sass.
She came to us only a few days ago due to having an open fontanelle which is a soft spot on a dog's head where the skull bones have not yet fused together. It is similar to the "soft spot" in human babies.
In some cases, open fontanelles may be caused by an underlying brain condition, such as hydrocephalus. The term hydrocephalus means “water on the brain.” In hydrocephalus, cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) accumulates within the brain, causing the brain to swell. We do not know if PUNKIN’ has this yet.
Either way PUNKIN will need to see the vets and likely specialists for her little noggin.
She’s eating well and is full of energy.
FREEdom Tails Ohio specialty is pulling dogs and puppies from commercial breeders. We very often take expensive medical cases that no one else will.
We do numerous heart surgeries to save puppies lives that are born with genetic issues.

Hellllo!! My name is Percy Rocket! As you can tell from my looks, you can see that I’ve lived wild life, I came from a hoarder house but before that I was a groupie for many 80s rock bands that’s where I get my looks & style! I am over 12 years old and partially blind and deaf. I have no teeth, I use to party too hard in the past but more about my future. I’m hoping to find someone to relax with, someone who’s gonna put my eyedrops in my eyes a couple times a day, it’s really easy and return give you the most quietest company. I get along great with everyone, all animals, kids, it doesn’t matter just be nice to me. I’m only 4 pounds so I’d rather be picked up. I don’t do well on a leash, but I don’t need a fenced in yard, just set me in the same spot to go potty. I’m crate trained and I like to go to bed early and sleep in. I’m also potty pad trained. Spotlight of the week!!
Burt is a friend to everyone. He has never met anything he didn’t like. He is a great mentor to the other foster puppies here, he loves cats, and he respects the older resident dogs. He loves to play and wrestle and has learned to be gentle when playing with anything smaller than him.
