So… what goes into the value of a pup? ⁉️Great question! Here are a few things to ponder…
We strive to raise the best pups we can, with the best temperaments, and be the most prepared for a smooth transition into their forever home. 🐾 We choose to only do one litter a year for our mamas. 🐶🐾❤️
🐶 There are so many factors. First, the breed. How rare is the breed? How many pups are generally in the litter?
🐶 ❓How much health testing has been done on the parents? Is there a stud fee that the breeder has to pay? Most stud fees are in the 4 figures. 💲💵 💵
🐶 How is the pup raised? Does the breeder put time into training & desensitization? 💕
🐶 Supplies: dog food, goats milk, puppy pads, paper towels, crates, play pens, toys… just to name a few. We have found that our dogs do best on a non-chicken 🐓 👎🏼 based food, so we spend a little extra getting them what is best for them.
🐶 The vet exam: as everyone has felt, the rising costs are not limited to supplies, but the vet exam & shots have gone up in price too!
🐶 Time. As a breeder, we know we aren’t in this for an hourly wage… we prob only make nickels per hour, but it’s our love of dogs ❤️ and desire to offer pups without any negative life experiences as a life-long family member that drives us to do what we do. The joy we see on the new family’s face when they pick up their pup makes it all worth it. ☺️
If you’ve taken the time to read 📖 all this ✅ thank you!
We do have just a few pups left in this year’s litter. Feel free to PM for more info on them.
Blessings to you, friends! ❤️🐾
