A few updates - Thank you to all of my wonderful clients who have made it through my restructuring process. ❤️ I know the last few months have been wild (looking at you Waterford & Rochester routes 😉)
I have set up a schedule that allows me to start earlier, be more proficient on gas, and get home at a reasonable hour. There is always work after work waiting for me as I have taken on several extra advocating responsibilities. The Association, and Podcasts are moving along and hopefully one day I can proudly say I helped pet owners gain access to better care on a national level.
With all of that being said (unless you are an OG client who is already on a set route) any new clients must be available no later than 2:00pm. Also I am still taking on new clients and I appreciate all of the referrals especially in this economy. There is no better compliment than trusting me to take care of your family and friends, it truly means the world to me.
On a final note our Chief of Security Bronson is gearing up to come back to work after taking the summer off!!

This practice has been very welcoming to me and Kiki since her Kidney issues in the spring. I’m glad to see them filling a hole that is needed in our community. Thank you Dixie Veterinary Hospital for expanding this service to the mobile side of Vet Med ❤️

Saying goodbye is one of the hardest decisions we face as pet parents. Starting September 19th, we are honored to offer limited in-home euthanasia services, giving you and your pet the gift of a peaceful farewell in the comfort and love of home.

This is why I always recommend Pet Insurance. I’m not endorsed, and I don’t get any kickbacks (although it would be nice 😉). Kiki has been going through a diagnostic process since Easter costing me an unexpected amount of roughly $3,000 in care. Once I hit my deductible, I submitted my claim and after only two weeks, I got notified that my reimbursement is coming. I got insurance BEFORE any illness occurred knowing that pet insurance companies will not cover preexisting conditions.
I got ahead of the problems before it started and it paid off. I have no preference on carriers, just pick one while your pet is healthy and stick with it.
*The amount not covered is prescription food/vaccines which I already knew were not covered.

National Vet Tech Week is coming up and as most of you already know I take that week off every year for a staycation! This year it falls on October 14th-17th and the routes that will be affected are:
🐾 Tuesday - Southern White Lake
🐾 Wednesday- Highland/Nothern White Lake
🐾 Thursday- Rochester
🐾 Friday- Keego
As always we will have a few options available for rescheduling 😊
Following up from last year, Kind Claws will also be making a donation of $1.00 in the name of every pet seen during the month of September and given to Veterinary Industry Giving Tree at the first of October. This will go directly to helping veterinary professionals in the industry. ❤️

Attention clients who are on rotation for this Tuesday & Wednesday ‼️ I’m advising everyone to keep their appointments as next month we will be rescheduling our normal date. My baby sister will be in town and our CEO (Chief Enrichment Officer) Kiki has her appointment at OVRS with the Internist. *Picture below of her on the clock*
The two routes are Waterford Tuesday (Yellow area) and Waterford Wednesday (Blue Meijer). I will have a makeup day available when I see you this week!

First episode airs this Monday! What’s this Podcast about?
Helping Licensed Vet Techs stay in the industry before they leave and guide them on the proper ways to being a credentialed vet tech business owner. Keeping vet techs in our space longer and finding new ways to elevate them also allows for better access to care for you guys (the pet owners).
While I was meeting with individuals for the Association, I came across Jen who also owns her own business. Her business is much different than mine. She does clinic relief work and provides help when they are short staffed. She blew me away with her professional integrity and ethics. Between the two of us, we will be interviewing other successful business owning licensed veterinary technicians and discussing success and failures.
On a national level, I hope my extracurricular activities has helped make a difference in the lives of Licensed Vet Techs who ultimately are the ones who help take care of your pets. ❤️ Endless Journeys: The Vet Tech Odyssey Podcast If you are a client feel free to follow along. I will be discussing cases on this podcast, however everyone will be Mr. & Ms. Smith with Fluffy & Fido for privacy. Thank you to every client who has inspired me from day one. None of this would be possible if it was not for your trust in me to take care of your pets. I’m very very grateful for every single one of you guys.

We honestly wanted to just do one hour, but we had so much to talk about and share that it ended up being 2 hours of valuable conversation!
