Today’s bounty on the farm (blueberries I picked Riley Creek Blueberry Farm) ! Time to can some roasted cherry tomato sauce, freeze some zucchini, make jam and maybe some muffins . We are a veteran owned farm, certified Homegrown by Heroes, and a member of Farmer Veteran Coalition side note: could of picked more peppers but its fair season!!!

Fresh out of the farm kitchen tonight: Salted Dark Chocolate covered Sunflower Microgreens. These offer the the classic chocolate covered nut flavor with a fresh crisp. Wow. We are loving these as a snack or after dinner dessert

heirloom seeds we have collected. This is our dining room!! Over 400 plants growing... waiting to be planted outside in mid May. Friends, you can be doing this! There is no special secret! Farm to table, backyard to BBQ, Forest to Table, or in this case window to table whatever you want to call it, you can grow your own food!

One day we will have a greenhouse on our farm not have to hand carry plants inside & out on warm days, hand water all 400 and we will be able to eat dinner at our table but for now...we grow!

Proud of Viking Family Farms! We had a great fair season. Thank you 2020 Bonner County Fair for such a great freshman experience. Cannot wait to return next year.
