Social butterfly Willow was pooped at 4:30 today so we gave her a break and shut down collecting donations in front of Exchange Bank on Front Street. Before Willow went home with her foster dad, Dexter Martin, she walked to Hello Dolly to personally thank a special lady that has brought her closer to have her surgery. Sonia Wiley Monk bought tickets for Willow's Split the pot raffle, she won the raffle and happily gave her winning back to Willow. Today Willow surprised Sonia when she went to thank Sonia personally.

UPDATE: Willow has arrived and on the job to give lots of kisses and hold your hand and show you her wiggle dance.
FAUNA volunteers and Big Little Cane are at Exchange Bank on Front Street waiting for Willow to arrive. Apparently she slept in this morning because she's supposed to be here to help ask visitors to donate to her surgery!

Elizabeth, an NSU Vet Tech student, could not believe her eyes when she noticed Hendrix at a hematology lab. Not only was he friendly and charming, he was the mirror image of Hank, one of her other fur babies.

“Hendrix immediately caught my eye as soon as I opened that door, and I fell in love instantly! He’s the sweetest little man ever, and he’s quite the Velcro dog! I’ve never had an animal that follows me around as much as he does, but I know that’s just his way of trusting me and wanting to go wherever I go. He definitely believes he’s a tiny lap dog, it doesn’t matter what you’re doing he’s gonna climb up in your lap and give you kisses! Hendrix is the perfect addition to our family!”

Elizabeth's glowing recommendations from the Vet Tech College staff was a game changer for Hendrix because it meant he got the best gift ever for Christmas, a family. He is now living his best life with Elizabeth, her mom and dad, Jessica and Randy, and their other canine babies, Hank, Lola, and Ellie. There is plenty of love for everyone in this family, and Hendrix gets all the attention and care he deserves. Thank you, Elizabeth, Jessica, and Randy, for adopting from FAUNA. We are ecstatic for Hendrix and his new family.

Several kind individuals have made generous donations for Willow to get the wheels turning for her to have surgery.
Mr. Bill Jorgess was taken back at the intricate details of Willow's surgery and the huge expense so he wrote us a check and then he asked friends at Julian Foy Motors CHEVROLET to match his donation, AND THEY DID.
Charlotte, Patty and Deb Hansen from Washington State sent checks too! They once had the opportunity to meet Willow and saw her unhealable wound and have not been able to forget her. Jamie Hogg's dogs, Scarlet, Frankie & Ruby, had her send a big donation on Venmo. You can too!

Willow has made the decision to stay on Front Street to raise funds for her surgery until 6:00 PM.
She's been having a blast with Sherrye, Leah and Ashlee all afternoon and ya never know, she might meet her forever family that will be dedicated to taking care of her post surgery.
What a wonderful dream that would be!!!!!

WILLOW & BIG LITTLE CANE IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS
Willow needs our help so that she can lead a normal life. FAUNA must go full out to raise much needed funds for her surgery.
You may have heard that Tina Coffey and Debbie Tebbetts have a Split the Pot raffle.
We will be at StoryBrew Coffee Cafe selling raffle tickets WITH WILLOW on Friday 12/20 at 9:00 AM until she gets too tired. Willow will be so happy to be out of the shelter meeting new friends that she may want to stay until closing time!
We will also be accepting donations that are Tax Deductible.
With the huge challenge we are facing to get Willow skin grafts we are announcing another exciting way to encourage donations:
