Shelley got her tank refreshed and some red leaf lettuce today! That’s her cave behind her that she hides in when she’s scared.
She doesn’t like veggies 🥬 though.

Our Dad’s brought home our surprise this afternoon, it’s Chip (actually, SHE’s Shelley)! But we were thinking more like Fritos Lays! 😹😸

Our Auntie Autum sent us some surprises in the mail! A safari tent ⛺️, snacks, AND a toy banana 🍌 with catnip!

Miss Frankie update:

A little over two weeks on her medication and she’s doing really well! Almost back to her complete sassafrasness, but still on bed rest.

We started to back off the medications the last few days, but yesterday noticed more frequency grooming and potty trips so we went back to full time medication for a little bit longer. Her Vet made us aware the prescription food take time to break down the stones so no real concerns just yet!

She says thank you for the love and prayers. 🙏🏼🙏🏼

Frankie update!

The Vet called and said crystals were present so no calcium stones, and no surgery needed!!

She must continue pain medication for another 7-10 days, and still be sepearted from Grandpa during that time to monitor her litter box.

The Vet said red blood cells were present and no white blood cells were. Therefore, no infection, just stones acting up. The new diet will melt the stones away!

We’re not out of the woods yet, but feeling a big sigh of relief. ♥️♥️

An update on Frankie girl.

She’s doing okay, not good, still struggling, but okay. She is not thrilled in the least about being in her own room away from Grandpa, having her own dinner, and her own new cat box. Lol She is the Princess of the family that does not enjoy the Princess life! Lol

After the antibiotics kicking in, the other medications and the prescription cat food, we’re starting to see more piddle drops in the litter box, though nothing solid yet. 😬 We’re still hopefully Monday shows signs that an operation is not needed.

Thank you all for your thoughts and purrayers!

We are home from the primary care check-up and waiting on UA results. The ultrasound showed a small something again but not sure if it’s a blockage, the cats are starting on the special diet food, and a mad Frankie got her antibiotic shot.

With all the attention Frankie has slightly warmed up to other ladies, Autum has competition now. Lol

We are praying no surgery is needs, but we’ll know more by Monday. 😬

Both Grandpa & Frankie send their love and gratefulness to all their friends and family!

Our baby girl Frankie is sick. 😥 She needs your purrayers!

Yesterday, Dad noticed she was getting in the cat box a lot last night and this morning. We have a self-cleaning litter box so he reset the counter before work, at lunch he came home and the box had been used almost 30 times, and she used it 6 times while he was here for the 45 minutes. I came home from work and we took her to the ER Vet after talking to the Dr. who will be their regular vet.

They did an ultrasound and she has a very small “nickel-sized” bladder for her age, and has either a UTI, urinary stone, or both. The ER vet sent her home with comfort medication until we see the primary care vet. 😭😭

Miss Frankie would like everyone know that she’s not impressed with the monthly 1st Friday tornado 🌪 siren 🚨 testing here in the Midwest.

Whilst she enjoys the safety aspects, the minute long siren howling is not on her favorites list. 😹

Grandpa Kitty has entered his senior years, he’s 7 in human years and 44 in kitty years, and Miss Frankie, the mini-adult kitty, is now 4 in human years and 32 in kitty years!!

They both enjoy the warmth of the Midwest, the fun of the sunlight and shadows, and the red squirrels that play on the trees right outside their bedroom window. ☀️🐿
