Our Story
UPDATE: Gail McGinnis, the founder and administrator of Kit Cat Club retired in October 2018. Long-time foster/driver/fundraiser, Lisa Blaney opted to take over as administrator and revive the rescue. But due to a catastrophic injury in 2019 and deaths in her family, rescuing cats is still on hold. Fundraising efforts are still in place, such as clothing drives and new ventures are added like collecting items such as empty Febreze containers, razors, and cigarette butts and packages for Terra-Cycle. We look forward to resuming cat rescuing in 2020.
Kit Cat Club is a group founded in North Hamilton that helps to rescue cats and kittens by finding new homes for lost and stray cats. We have them spayed/neutered with the help of local veterinarians. Our group is trying to help with the overpopulation of cats in Hamilton. By having our ferral cats spayed/neutered and released, these cats will not keep reproducing and will lower the number of homeless cats in a humane way. We need your help! By friending us and helping us to let people know we need their help, you can really help us and the cats to find homes. We will keep you informed about what the city and HBSPCA are offering to help you and your neighbours to help your own pets.
