Tavistock is a delightful historic market town with a fantastic selection of privately owned and different shops. It hosts an award winning farmers market once a fortnight and has a great pannier market most days with a good variety of stalls offering a range of products. The town is vibrant with a good selection of excellent places to eat, yet retains the character you would expect of a place steeped in history. Excellent for touring being on the border with Cornwall easy access from the A30 and the A38 trunk roads only a few miles away.
