UPDATE- With an extremely heavy heart we must report that precious Duke has passed away! We were devastated to hear this news but thankful we were atleast able to get him to our vet where he passed peacefully and comfortable. This little boy was very much loved if even for a few hours! We are so sorry Precious Duke that we came to late! Huge thank you Dr. David Martin for coming in on a Sunday and trying so hard to save this sweet boy. Also huge thanks to all of those who have donated towards his medical bill! So far sister Daisy is still doing well. She will remain in quarantine at the vet for the next week to make sure she too doesn't break with this deadly virus! Again, thank you all for your continued support! Fly high sweet Duke! 💔🐾🐶

🚨 DONATIONS NEEDED ASAP 🚨

Today Wags and Whiskers was contacted about two black lab puppies that had been dumped and left for dead. They learned the male was sick and showing signs of Parvo. They couldn't turn their back on these sweet babies and with no plan, funds or foster lined up they agreed to take them on and they were taken to the vet. The sick male, who has been named Duke, is in critical condition. Poor boy has all the parvo symptoms. He has bloody diarrhea, constant vomiting, lethargic, won't eat or drink and is pretty much lifeless. Wags vet, Dr. David Martin at Parkway Animal Hospital, wasted no time to start fluids and get medications on board to treat his symptoms. He's extremely critical and they have no idea if he will make it at this point. They also took in his sister who has been named Daisy. Daisy isn't showing any signs of the deadly virus yet but she is now quarantined and the vet is ready incase symptoms appear. With this being a Sunday and an emergency visit everyone knows how costly that is and Parvo treatment in general is costly itself. Wags and Whiskers took a chance on these babies because they were suffering but Wags is desperate for donations to help cover the cost of this emergency visit. There isn't any amount to small and every penny is very much appreciated. These pitiful puppies deserved a chance and Wags needs your help to give them the best one possible.

!!!!!'!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!'ALERT:!!!!!!!!!!!AND PLEASE SHARE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!Everyone please keep a close watch on your dogs even in your own backyard especially in Decatur Athens Huntsville area there has been people men and women going around in a blue car and white van coaxing dogs to their car or just walking up at any hour and stealing them from their fenced in backyard. They are filing their teeth and using them as bait dogs and then when they are about dead just throwing them on sides of roads or anywhere. Let's stop these people!!!! The news is trying to get people to do a special on it and the police haven't been able to catch them I'm the act yet. But please keep your pets safe. I have several friends and friends of friends that this has happen to. They are mostly after bigger dogs but have taken puppies older dogs and just whatever they can especially labs and pits. If you are missing one try looking on Madison animals rescue sites and the lost and found animal site on here……..this is also happening in Tuscaloosa County. Please don't leave your dogs unattended at any time.

PLEASE help us get the word out for this sweet girl!
URGENT‼
TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE‼
Please SHARE!!

Ivy is a very sweet girl and loving girl who needs to be in a home where she can get the love and attention that she truly deserves. She is a very good girl and is GREAT around people! She enjoys going on car rides and loves running and playing in the back yard. She needs to be with someone who can spend time with her. She just wants to be with her human and will never leave your side. She is very smart and a training course would most likely do wonders for her. She cannot live with other animals.
She is NOT doing well in boarding and is running out of time‼
She is rescued and vetted. Ivy was a stray dog who ran into a hospital, but no one ever looked for her. She is in great shape and never had puppies, although not spayed when found. Someone showed her love in her life. She is a very sweet and happy girl..
Ivy is approximately 2 years old. She's spayed, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, taking flea/tick/heartworm prevention, and microchipped.
She needs a secure fenced yard or leash walks. We don't know her cat compatibility so no cats is best.
❣️PLEASE understand that just because she doesn't do well with other animals does NOT make her an "aggressive" dog! I have a dog who has these same characteristics and he is the sweetest and most loving boy! He has brought nothing but JOY into our home.❣️
Please share Ivy for a FOSTER home OR FOREVER home!!
