Hello fellow horse owners,
My name is Megan Chadwick and I am a farrier located in Hazen, ND. I recently attended Montana State University for Farrier School. While at school I got to work with keg shoes, handmade shoes with bar stock and concave, egg bar shoes, straight bar shoes, draft shoes, and aluminum. I also received the knowledge of how to apply snow pads, boruim, screw in studs, Equi-pak
, and foal extensions. Barefoot trimming or trimming to fit a shoe are very important and I had the opportunity to get under many horses to practice my skill at school. I have great confidence in my knowledge and talent to perform to my best ability and treat your horse like my very own. Every horse, regardless of age, use or price, has an inherent dignity and is worthy of the very best care and respect possible. I guarantee I will try to shoe or trim every horse better than the person who did it last time, especially if that person was me. My other line of work consist of horse training which I have taken part of since I was 13 years old. This past summer I worked with a local trainer and learned many new techniques and other things to look for while training. In February 2014, I had the privilege to attend a Buck Brannaman clinic and experience the techniques Buck uses for c**t starting. Other trainers I follow include, but are not limited to Stacy Westfall and some local trainers that support me. I offer in my services c**t starting, tune-ups, problem horses, all around, and groundwork. I have worked with minis, ponies, and all ages of full grown horses. Once again, I will treat your horses like they are my own. I will offer 30, 45, 60, or 90 day training schedule. For you and your horse I will develop a program that is best suited for them. You are more than welcome to give your input on what you would like your horse to be like after training. Every horse is different and needs individual training that suits them best. If you have any questions on my work or about setting up an appointment do not be afraid to contact me. Thank you for your time and look forward to working with you in the future! Megan Chadwick
