Today, the matriarch of the rescue, Princess Vampire Athena, the doberman princess , turned 11. She has been such an asset to the rescue and has helped raise and teach all the dogs and pups that have come through the rescue since her Clancy passed when she was a baby. Her momma (our director) made her her own teddy bear birthday cake and one for each of her dogs here at the rescue that she calls her babies

Adopted!!

Our little Morticia is still looking for her forever home. She will be 7 months old on the 14th of this month. She loves kids and other animals. She has put on weight since she has been with us and is almost to the weight she should be at this age. If interested, please message the rescue.

This is a missing child in Kent County. His Momma wants her son home safely. Please share across the state and country so we can find Cortez and bring him home safely! He has been missing since the night of the 26th and was last seen at the McDonald's in Rockford at 2 am on the 27th

Just good information to have on hand, especially with the Holiday's coming up. Our pets are our kids, and as we know, sometimes they,same as our 2-legged children, get into things they shouldn't and might choke on it.
This is a good sheet to have e printed and on your fridge, along with the one for the signs for bloat.

Morning playtime with the Addams family. These pups are so full of love and shenanigans. We eat, play, sleep, and repeat. They are doing fabulous playing with the big dogs here and will do great in homes with other animals as well as children

Tomorrow, the rescue will be getting 5, yes 5 bouncing six month old dober pups in. There is 3 males and 2 females. Will be posting photos as soon as we get them over to the rescue and settled in.
They are all black and rust, tails docked, natural ears and current on all vaccines. After we get them checked out by our Doc, and all of them microchipped, they will be up for adoption on spay/neuter contracts.

We are happy to announce that Lucky has a forever family! He is finishing his training to be a service dog for his new dad, loves his new momma and also has 2 senior shepherd sisters now who he absolutely adores!!!

Meet darling Lucky. He is a Rottweiler/Lab mix and is 4 years old, neutered, hw neg, current on everything, and will know tomorrow if he's chipped.
Lucky's family is getting transferred to New York, and due to his breeds, he is not allowed on base. Lucky is one of those dogs who is a unicorn. Along with being housebroken, he is also crate-trained. He also loves everyone. The smallest in his house right now is 10 months old, so kids are definitely something he loves.
Lucky will be heading to foster with the potential to adopt a family next week.
It is only with fosters that we can keep saving dogs.

Today is the day to call your vet if your dog is reactive to fireworks! And please do not use Ace. It is a paralytic, but your dog will be stuck, paralyzed in their fear.
