Ashton Orbit ❤️

When I took the ride over at the start of the year, I never thought I would be entering the arena of dreams! You ticked a massive thing off my bucket list 🥰 I had no expectations other than to enjoy the experience. At 5 years old you left me speechless coming out the ring with only two down!

I can’t thank my family enough for giving me the chance and support. Megan you spent your day making sure everything was ready and went to plan with your sidekick Daniel Ireland. Alan McIntyre you’re always Top driver and putting all the little details in. Jason & Davie.. 🤔 I think you two just had the best time with pints in your hand 🍻

A big thanks goes to Douglas Duffin who has given me lots of training and stood by my side on the day to give me the confidence to believe we could do it.

My team, use are always there supporting and cheering me on 🫶🏻 Thank you to Dave Ireland for giving me the team Champfleurie horse box!

Busy few months with the horses at various shows! 🥰

Orbit jumping great rounds at Northcote in the 5 year old classes. Continuing on to jump his first Hoys workers for one down at the highland show. Scottish horse show, he jumped a great clear to win and gain his Hoys ticket 🥳 He also went to do his first BE 90 event finishing 10th with a double clear. Blair horse trials he was 3rd in the BHS working hunter class.

Leo have a great season of eventing, picking up 2nd place at Hopetoun, 2nd at Forgandenny, 8th place at Hopetoun and then completing our first 1* at Blair horse trials.

Begbie Ritchie’s Oreo stepping upto the 5 year old classes at Northcote. Highland show he jumped a lovely clear in the 5year olds. Scottish horse show he jumped the Hoys workers for 2 down. Blair horse trials jumping some great rounds in tricky ground conditions!

Kevin jumped the 1.20 at Northcote picking up 5th place. Bogenraith he jumped the 1.20 for 3rd place. Blair horse trials he jumped the 1.20 for 3rd

We are home from one of the best weeks at Badminton Horse Trials!

On Tuesday we started off with our dressage which we got a score of 35. Then Wednesday it was on to the show jumping and cross country. Annoyingly, we had the last fence show jumping🙈 and then went clear cross country 🥳 Leo took the the XC course like a pro, putting his trust in me from start to finish which was incredible given that we have had no runs since Blair last year.

I went there with no expectations other than to enjoy the experience and get home safe. And we did exactly that 🥰

A massive thank you goes to my family and friends who always support me with my dreams 🩷

Thank you to Dave Ireland who kindly offered to take Leo there. He also had his lorry beautifully sign written to go, big thanks Macsigns 👌

It’s been a busy start to the year for team Champfleurie.

Kevin was recently out and picking up 4th in the 1.20 open at snec. Orbit was double clear in the discovery

Oreo went to his first show for double clear in the 80 at snec. Owned by Begbie Ritchie

Last weekend it was a winning weekend for the team 🥳

Kane was 4th in the 70 Blair qualifier. He won the 80 Blair qualifier and also took champion 🏆 Owned by Crystal Mulvenna

Oreo competed in his first working hunter and won the novice workers 🥇

Orbit also competed in his first workers to win the BHS Blair qualifier class and took reserve champion 🥰

Champfleurie stables are looking for a new team member starting asap. Come and be part of our team. We have a wide range of horses from general riding horses to competition horses competing in BS,BE,WH. We hold competitions and training clinics. The yard has great facilities

♦️General yard duties. Flat riding possible depending on ability/experience.

♦️Previous experience working on a yard would be a bonus but someone with enthusiasm and dedication to learn will be considered.

♦️Car license ideally but not essential.

♦️5 days, approx 30 hours a week including 1 weekend day. Approx times 8.30-3.30 with 1 hour lunch hours can vary depending on work

♦️Self employed / freelance person/employee

♦️Rate of pay dependant on experience

♦️Friendly environment with great facilities and lovely clients.

♦️Working with horses is hard so please only apply if this is for you.

♦️Must be able to work as a team and on their own.

Week 2 in Villamoura was a mixed one for us. Friday the weather was horrendous and the fences were blowing down as we entered the arena. They both ended up picking up faults in their classes. On Saturday Kevin was back on form gaining his second international win 🥇 Sunday saw more awful weather, with the horses puddle jumping between fences. Kevin jumped a nice round with a very unusual time fault placing him 4th overall. Leo had an off day on Saturday, forgetting to pick up his feet in the jump off but redeemed himself on Sunday with his first win of the tour 🥇 Champfleurie stables Baileys Horse Feeds Equine Products UK

Team Champfleurie have had a busy few weeks. Both boys have been out competing at various different venues and jumping really well with some good results. This weekend took us to Tillyoch where Kevin gained his ticket for the highland show winning the RHS Classic 🥇 Leo did his first BE100 at Kirriemuir with a good dressage test and clear show jumping, just an unfortunate few stops round the XC but it was a big ask and I was super proud of him 😍 Thanks to all my team ❤️ Champfleurie stables Baileys Horse Feeds Equine Products UK
