Thermal imaging is achieved with an infrared camera that we calibrate to display temperature values across your horse. With thermal imaging we can detect an increase or decrease in blood flow and the changes in heat patterns which can identify inflammation, and muscle problems. The correct preparation and environment is very important to achieve the best images possible. Thermal imaging is non-i
nvasive and does not require sedation, we are mobile and come to you so reducing the stress of travelling for your horse. A Thermographer cannot diagnose and so we advice that send on the report to your vet. It is possible additional radiography or diagnostic work by a Veterinarian by be required. Bobby has been a registered farrier since qualifying in 2001, after spending a year travelling the world he settled in Worthing, West Sussex and started his own business shoeing horses in the local area. Bobby is a member of the Equine lameness Prevention Organisationhttp://www.lamenessprevention.org/ who are dedicated to the treatment and prevention of lameness in horses. His passion is to help educate horse owners by organising lectures and demonstrations, workshops and hands on clinics. He regularly continues to further his own education by attending courses and conferences here in the UK and in America continuing his professional development. Bobby became interested in Thermography as a tool to help with his lamanitic cases and from there came the realisation that the thermal image camera can help tell us so much about your horse, not just the feet but, inflammation and muscle problems over the whole body.
