is an all-volunteer, foster-home-based rescue dedicated to the care, understanding, and adoption of Pit Bull Terrier type dogs. PittieLove’s primary goal is to ensure that our rescued dogs will never again suffer from abuse or neglect. We work diligently to carefully place them into loving homes where, for all of their remaining years, they will experience the affection and kindness that has been

so sorely absent from their lives. All dogs who successfully pass our temperament evaluation are placed into loving foster homes where they are provided with quality veterinary care, initial training, and extensive socialization (with both people and animals of all ages). All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and micro-chipped prior to adoption. As experienced Pit Bull parents, all of our volunteers are happy to assist potential fosters and adopters with any questions or concerns they may have at every stage of each of our dogs’ lives, and beyond. Potential adopters are provided with applicable information relating to the specific dog that they are interested in. Although we do not accept dogs into our program that show aggression toward other dogs, we prefer to place our rescued dogs as only pets or with a compatible dog of the opposite sex.¹

Our strict adoption policies include, but are not limited to, a comprehensive application process (with personal and vet reference checks), an initial phone screen, and a home visit. Please read our Adoption Policies on our website for more detailed information.

Boo, now Nova, goes home! The very first of our Pumpkin Patch to find her forever home, this sweetheart was fostered first with momma and siblings by incredible puppy foster Corey and her family. First time PLR puppy foster, Jen and family then swooped in and gave this adorable girl a solid foundation to build her amazing little life upon. When prior adopters Katie and Stanley lost their PittieLove alum, also adopted as a puppy from our nut litter (in 2015!), recently, they knew their home wouldn’t be complete again without the love of a pittie. When they saw Nova’s squishy face, they were smitten! Here is the lucky girl with her forever pawrents! Two legged sister Ariana and brother Desmond anxiously await her arrival home. Happiest of lives baby girl- we can’t wait to see you grow and thrive! We love you sweet one ♥️

As we very quickly approach the beginning of a new year, we’d like to take the time to reflect on the past year while also start planning for another busy year. With your help, our amazing supporters, we were able to continue our mission to rescue and be a voice for the most deserving pups on the planet. Through your generous support, we were able to never say no to a dog in need. We start the new year with this same attitude. Sweet Grace is the living embodiment of her name. A senior at 10 years young, she was found as a stray on the streets of Boston and picked up by our friends at City of Boston Animal Care and Control. Amazing longtime supporter and senior dog advocate Blair stepped right up to give this salt and pepper faced lady a soft place to land. Grace is as sweet as sugar and as nice as they come, despite having lived a long life of what appears to be suffering and neglect. She came to us with a laundry list of medical ailments- dental masses, severe scarring of her ears from chronic, untreated ear infections, and most frustratingly heartworm disease. Yes, easily preventable but extremely painful and expensive to treat, heartworm disease. In spite of every card this girly has stacked against her, she is thriving! She has gracefully integrated herself into the pack of tiny four legged pups in her foster home, and is happiest when she is following her foster mom around like a low riding shadow. She is so grateful for the love and care she’s finally receiving that she pays her mom back with her constant presence 😍

So, as we venture into a new year with new opportunities, let’s approach it with Grace- show appreciation for the small things and continue to uplift and support those around us. Happy New Year to our amazing family- we can’t say it enough, you are the reason we are able to continue our mission to save amazing animals in need. We hope you all have an amazing celebration and we’ll see you in 2025 🐾

Pumpkin goes home! This chocolate colored cutie came to us from our friends at City of Boston Animal Care and Control after being found as a stray, massively pregnant. Sweet mama Pumpkin even bought herself an overnight in the ER for false labor. She sure kept us on our toes! Pumpkin safely delivered and raised 8 healthy and adorable little squashes with the help of incredible foster Corey and her family. We are thrilled to report, in the spirit of a true Christmas miracle, this sweet girl found her forever family ahead of her babies! Prior adopters Jim and Rachel and their son Aiden lost their beloved PLR alum Emmitt at 11 years old. Emmitt was such a special dog and his love permeated their lives so much that they knew they needed a pittie back in their lives. They fell in love with Pumpkins soulful eyes and resilient spirit and knew they had to meet her. The rest, as they say, is history! Here is the sweet mama dog with her amazing forever family! There’s nothing like the love of a mama dog and we couldn’t be happier for this family and especially for our Pumpkin! Happiest of lives pretty girl, we love you! We are thrilled that Pumpkin gets to spend Christmas in her forever home. We wish all of our amazing fosters, volunteers and supporters a Merry Christmas filled with love, happiness and hopefully the pitter patter of pittie feet ♥️🎄 🐾

Sterling, now Vinny, goes home! This gorgeous pewter colored sweetheart came to us from our friends at Sharon Animal Control after being found as a stray. Fostered by two of our amazing fosters, Alex and Noah, Vinny proved to be an absolute gem of a dog, wooing so many people with his goofy smile and beyond sweet personality. Vinny is such an incredible dog that the police sergeant who found him as a stray originally couldn’t stop thinking about him. Sergeant Pete tracked Vinny down to our rescue and immediately reached out. He brought his family to meet this sweetheart and it was love at first sight! Here is the pup of the hour with his forever dad Pete- who quite literally saved his life- while mom Alex, sisters Lilly, Ava C, Ava B, and brother Jaxson wait impatiently at home for his arrival. We wish you the happiest life, sweet Vinny! We love you!

Emmy, now Charlotte, goes home! This cutie with the most adorable cow spots came to us from Forever Paws Animal Shelter after being found as a stray. She was fostered by incredible PittieLove fosters Michelle and Tom, marking their 78th foster for the rescue!! Sweet Charlotte’s adoption donation was sponsored by our amazing sponsors in a fundraiser honoring PLR supporter and adopter Eric Braun and PLR alum Emmie Porter, both of whom we lost this year. What a wonderful way to pay tribute to an awesome human and pup than to pay it forward to another soul in need. Here is the most lucky little lady with her forever mom and dad Kate and Bill. Kate and Bill lost their PLR alum Maverick earlier this year and knew that their home wasn’t complete without the pitter patter of pittie paws. They were immediately smitten with Charlotte’s beautiful smile and ears that receive their own radio frequency! We can’t wait to see what the future holds for this sweet girl and her amazing family. Happy life, Charlotte, we love you! ❤️

Introducing Sterling! This pewter colored cutie pie came to us from our friends at Sharon Animal Control after being found as a stray. Huge thank you to ACO Rachel for sticking by this good boy and finding our rescue to get him the most amazing home ever! Our incredible foster Alex and his best foster brother sidekick Bear scooped this cutie right up and allowed him to stretch his legs in the country. Sterling is an all around awesome boy- he loves car rides and sitting shotgun so he doesn’t miss a thing, he walks amazingly on a leash, and he is a superbly polite houseguest never touching something that isn’t his! He’s a meet you where you’re at kinda energy guy, happy to go on long leash walks but equally happy curling up with his foster family on the couch.

If you and your family are looking for an all around great pup, look no further than Sterling! Head straight on over to www.PittieLoveRescue.org and fill out an adoption application. Sterling would love a family to call his own for Christmas 🎄

Meet Gigi aka GG, short for Good Girl! This stunning brindle beauty with the most adoring pittie smile came to us from our friends at City of Boston Animal Care and Control after being found as a stray. Many thanks to Joy and family for fostering GG!!😊 Since being with us, she has shown that she is even sweeter than we ever imagined! She is a velcro pup, wanting to attach herself to her humans like super glue. She has lots of s***k, loves to go for walks and loves playing with her 4-legged foster brother, Bouy, a PLR alum. Loves the car, sitting in the back seat enjoying all the sites around her. She is both house and crate trained. Gigi absolutely adores people. No one is a stranger. In fact, if someone passes her by without saying hello, she gets quite offended! 😊 Gigi says no thanks to rain (typical pittie) and no thanks cats. Apply for this princess today!

If you and your family think this princess will fit right in to your home, head right on over to www.PittieLoveRescue.org and fill out an adoption application!

Cooper, now Iko, goes home! This pint sized bundle of cuteness came to us from our friends at City of Boston Animal Care and Control after being found as a stray. Iko made himself right at home with our amazing foster Noah while he waited patiently for his forever home. Despite his itty bitty stature, this little guy has quite a large personality and absolutely blossomed in his foster home. Adopter Susan has been waiting years for the right time and also for the perfect dog to complete her heart. From the first photo of Iko, she was smitten. Their initial meeting was like two halves of a friendship heart finally connecting- it was love at first sight for both! Here is the sweetest little guy with his proud Momma Susan. We wish you both the happiest of lives together! We love you Iko!

Introducing Maddox! This young meatball with the massive noggin came to us from our friends at City of Boston Animal Care and Control after being found as a stray. Huge thank you to amazing foster Karyn for jumping right in and giving this youngin and his enormous head a safe space to decompress. Have we mentioned how large his dome is? 🤣 Besides having the most ginormous noggin around, Maddox is also beyond sweet. He makes the most adorable eye contact as he leans in for head and chest rubs and will sit there all day as long as the rubs keep coming. He is still a youngster, though, and thoroughly enjoys romps around the backyard with his Jolly Ball as well as long leash walks through the trails. Maddox is perfectly polite in the car, hunkering down into the backseat and occasionally peeking up to see what’s going on around him. If you’re looking for a buddy to play fetch with, Maddox is your guy! He is a superstar fetcher and will almost always return the ball right back to you. This sweet boy is just a big goofy puppy who wants to be with his people.

If you and your family are looking for an amazing young pup with an uncanny ability to match your energy at the moment and who snuggles with the best of them, head right on over to www.PittieLoveRescue.org and fill out an adoption application!

Formally introducing Pumpkin! You’ve seen her beautiful face before, but now is her time to shine. This squishy squashy pretty pittie came to us from our friends at City of Boston Animal Care and Control after being found as a stray. By the time she came to us, she was massively pregnant and due any day. We cannot thank amazing new foster Corey and family for opening up their heart and home so this sweet girl could deliver her babies safely and surrounded by love. Despite initially being so uncomfortable and now being tormented by 8 crazy little pibble beans, this little lady has proven to be the most lovely girl around. Pumpkin is the most amazing mama dog to her babies. She also loves every single person she meets with every ounce of her being. The silly lady will literally stop what she’s doing- eating, walking, you name it, and flop right on her back for belly rubs. She’s also a perfectly polite house guest- her house training and crate skills are in tip top shape. Give this girl a Nylabone and a warm place to snuggle you and she’s golden. Pumpkin is working hard to wean her pumpkin patch and ready herself for her new family! We would absolutely love it if Momma dog has her forever family lined up before all of her babies!

If you and your family are looking to add the all-around sweetest house hippo to your crew- look no further than Pumpkin! 🎃 🥰 Head right on over to www.PittieLoveRescue.org and fill out an adoption application!

Penny goes home! This grey/copper colored cutie came to us from our friends at Chelmsford Animal Control after being surrendered when her owner could no longer care for her. Massive thanks to amazing foster Alex and his sidekick Bear for taking sweet Penny under their wings and giving her the space to stretch her legs while she awaited her forever family. Penny really came into her own in foster and we learned exactly what her perfect family would look like. Enter Charlie. Charlie has been waiting a very long time until the time was just right to welcome his own fur baby home. One look at Penny’s captivating hazel eyes and he was hooked. The two of them bonded immediately and are a perfect fit. Here is the pittie of the hour with her proud dad. We wish you the happiest of lives filled with endless hikes, treats and the most snuggles. We love you sweet girl ❤️
