is an all-volunteer, foster-home-based rescue dedicated to the care, understanding, and adoption of Pit Bull Terrier type dogs. PittieLove’s primary goal is to ensure that our rescued dogs will never again suffer from abuse or neglect. All dogs who successfully pass our temperament evaluation are placed into loving foster homes where they are provided with quality veterinary care, initial training, and extensive socialization (with both people and animals of all ages). All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and micro-chipped prior to adoption. As experienced Pit Bull parents, all of our volunteers are happy to assist potential fosters and adopters with any questions or concerns they may have at every stage of each of our dogs’ lives, and beyond. Potential adopters are provided with applicable information relating to the specific dog that they are interested in. Although we do not accept dogs into our program that show aggression toward other dogs, we prefer to place our rescued dogs as only pets or with a compatible dog of the opposite sex.¹

Our strict adoption policies include, but are not limited to, a comprehensive application process (with personal and vet reference checks), an initial phone screen, and a home visit. Please read our Adoption Policies on our website for more detailed information.

Introducing Renny! This sleek landseal came to us from our friends after being found as a stray. Renny is a sweet and loving puppy who, despite not coming from the best start in life, her gentle and affectionate nature shines bright! Like most pitties, Renny is proof that with love and care, she holds no grudges and is living her best life. She’s a shy and sensitive soul who is understandably reserved initially, but with lots of love, patience, and kindness, she’s blossoming into a confident and irresistible pup. Renny loves to snuggle and will happily curl up next to you for some quality cuddle time. She has a moderate energy level, enjoying her daily walks and playtime with plush toys and bones, but she also loves her naps. She is friendly with other dogs, shares her toys easily, and greets new people with a wagging tail and gentle enthusiasm. Like all puppies, she’s working diligently to learn the ins and outs of being the best velvet hippo- she’s working diligently on her potty and crate training as well as leash manners, though she prefers to go at her own pace. Renny would thrive in a loving home where she can continue to build her confidence, get plenty of exercise, and snuggle up right next to her favorite humans in bed every night. If you and your family are looking for the sweetest pup and nothing to give so much love and be rewarded handsomely with her affection- Renny is your girl! Introducing Apple Pie! This lanky little slice of deliciousness came to us from our friends at Boston Animal Care and Control after being found as a stray. Pie is being fostered by amazing longtime foster Melissa and none other than her PLR alum sidekick miss Maggie! Even sweeter than her autumnal namesake, miss Pie is a delectable little puppy! She’s a perfect blend of activity and chill- she loves a rowdy game of tug or wrestle with her foster sister, but is also content to snuggle up with her foster mom for a good cuddle session. Pie is obviously a huge fan of this gorgeous fall weather, soaking in every bit of the crisp air on long leash walks- she walks amazingly well for a puppy! Miss Pie is generally a quiet little girl- unless she’s barking politely to get her foster sister to play with her- or unless she’s sleeping This girl can snore to beat the bands! Who wouldn’t want to snuggle up to the calming sounds of pibble snores putting you to sleep every night Pie is looking for a loving active family to call her own- she says yes please to a canine foster sibling and has also been extremely polite around small two legged beings as well! If Pie sounds like your cup of tea, errr slice of pie? head right on over to www.PittieLoveRescue.org and fill out an adoption application!

Marley goes home! This brown spotted cutie came to us from our friends after being surrendered with 6 other dogs. Rockstar foster Noah swooped right in to give this sweetheart a quiet, safe place to decompress from the crowded shelter. Marley turned out to be the sweetest, most laid-back house hippo ever! He loves a good leash walk but maybe loves snuggling more! Sherry and Bill have been rescuing pitties their entire marriage and recently lost their last love, Luna. Their home and hearts felt empty without four paws ambling about the house, so they decided it was time to honor her memory and adopt another pibble in need. One look at Marley’s adorable face and delectable flaps, and they were smitten! Here is the luckiest pup around with forever pawrents Shelly and Bill. Marley will now get to spend his spare time RVing and doing some amazing sightseeing with his new family! Happy life, big boy, we love you! ❤

Introducing Lilly. This beautiful summer flower came to us from our friends at after being found as a stray. Amazing foster Alex and his sidekick Bear opened their homes immediately to this sweet little low rider and gave her a safe and loving place to stretch her little legs. Lilly is an easy keeper, a couple of short walks and a good wrestling session with her foster brother and she’s done for the day! A track star she’s not, but what she lacks in athleticism she certainly makes up for in sweetness. Lilly has yet to meet a stranger, greeting every single person she’s met with that amazing pibble smile and wagging tail. She’s perfectly polite in the home and doesn’t touch anything that’s not hers. Toys seem to be a new thing to her, but she’s slowly learning that squeakers are really fun to destroy and she’s leaning to love them! Snuggling, however, is something that comes naturally to Lilly- she’s her happiest in the evenings cuddling in bed with her foster dad and brother ♥️ A family that will allow her to snooze with them every night is very important to this little lady. If you and your family are looking to grow by a little but packed with love house hippo- Lilly’s your girl! Head right on over to www.PittieLoveRescue.org and fill out an adoption application!

Viviana goes home! This green eyed, tri-colored stunner came to us from our friends at Boston Animal Care and Control after being found as a stray. Incredible PittieLove fosters Tom and Michelle welcomed her into their home as foster number 81! Under Tom and Michelle’s loving care, this cutie pie blossomed into the sweetest, nosiest little socialite around. While waiting for her forever family, Viviana perfected the art of kicking back and relaxing. Whether it was a leisurely car ride, or a peaceful leash walk, she was happy! Forever pawrents Kate and Justin were looking to add a laid back, easy going house hippo to their family after losing their last rescued pittie at age 14. This pairing seemed like a no brainer, and as expected, sparks flew on initial meeting! Here is the star of the hour, miss Viviana with her forever family! We wish you the happiest life filled with so many snuggles, car rides and adventures. We love you sweet girl! ❤

Finn Goes Home!
This adorable, pouty-faced cutie came to us from our friends at after being surrendered along with six other dogs who had sadly spent their lives confined to a basement. Finn faced additional challenges, including a significant hernia. A huge thank you to Dr. Amy .schroff.5 and the incredible team at for providing him with the care he needed.
After losing their beloved pittie girl, this amazing family felt their home just wasn’t the same. We worked closely with them to find the perfect match—and we certainly did!

Rylie, now Reina, stays home! This spotted cutie came to us from our friends at Boston Animal Care and Control after being surrendered with 6 other dogs. Amazing brand new PLR fosters Ellen, Orran, Issac and Kaela jumped right in to give her a safe and loving space to decompress and learn the world outside of a basement. This family lost their beloved three-legged pittie Sadie last November and weren’t sure their hearts were healed enough to open them back up to another pittie in need. They decided that fostering was the right choice for them and took this adorable girl in. Well, it didn’t take long for those sweet, chocolatey brown eyes and perfect pittie smile to win them right over. Reina’s track to happiness wasn’t the fastest. She unfortunately was quickly found to have a gastrointestinal obstruction and pneumonia. Fortunately for this sweet girl, her foster, now forever, family stood by her side and helped her heal after two hospital stays. Here is the cutie of the hour, feeling her absolute best, with forever parents Ellen and Orran, two-legged brother Isact and two-legged sister Kaela. Happiest of lives, sweet Reina, we love you, pretty girl!

Please consider sharing and donating if you’re able. Boston Animal Control does incredible work, providing care for SO many Boston animals, most who are strays. Their staff and volunteers are truly amazing. This year especially they've faced numerous medical cases and continue to go above and beyond for the animals in their care. However, their efforts are limited by budgets. Every bit of support makes a difference. Thank you!!❤️❤️
