PittieLove Rescue, Inc. 501c3 non-profit Pit Bull rescue organization-finding dogs their best homes-MA-Lic #0155 PittieLove Rescue, Inc.

is an all-volunteer, foster-home-based rescue dedicated to the care, understanding, and adoption of Pit Bull Terrier type dogs. PittieLove’s primary goal is to ensure that our rescued dogs will never again suffer from abuse or neglect. We work diligently to carefully place them into loving homes where, for all of their remaining years, they will experience the affection and kindness that has been

so sorely absent from their lives. Working closely with animal shelters, animal control facilities and rescue organizations and volunteers throughout New England, we strive to save as many dogs as our resources will allow. All dogs who successfully pass our temperament evaluation are placed into loving foster homes where they are provided with quality veterinary care, initial training, and extensive socialization (with both people and animals of all ages). All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and micro-chipped prior to adoption. As experienced Pit Bull parents, all of our volunteers are happy to assist potential fosters and adopters with any questions or concerns they may have at every stage of each of our dogs’ lives, and beyond. Potential adopters are provided with applicable information relating to the specific dog that they are interested in. Although we do not accept dogs into our program that show aggression toward other dogs, we prefer to place our rescued dogs as only pets or with a compatible dog of the opposite sex.¹

Our strict adoption policies include, but are not limited to, a comprehensive application process (with personal and vet reference checks), an initial phone screen, and a home visit. Please read our Adoption Policies on our website for more detailed information.

¹ It is important to distinguish the difference between dog/animal aggression and human aggression. Human aggression is not a normal trait of pit bull-type dogs.

Roo Roo, now Teddy goes home! This squishable brown cutie came to us from our friends at Lynn Animal Control after being found as a stray. Big shout out to JR and Jacqui for all their help getting this sweet boy to us. Huge thank you to our amazing foster Karyn for giving this incredible boy a soft space to land and begin his journey to forever. Adopters Liz and Dave had lost their sweet girl Jenny and knew that the only way to truly heal their hearts was to welcome another incredible and deserving rescue dog into their hearts and home. In came Teddy, and it was love at first sight. He immediately won them over with his calmly affectionate and loving manner. Sweet Teddy already has a village ready to welcome him home and make sure his days are filled with everything good! Happy happy life, little guy, we love you so much!!

Introducing Spartacus! This beautiful grey brindle boy came to us from our friends at Lynn Animal Control. Huge thank you to JR and Jacqui for their help in getting this sweet boy to us, and big thanks to new PLR foster Mark for giving this guy a safe spot to land. Unlike his warrior namesake, this guy is a lover, not a fighter! Spartacus is an all around easy going guy. He loves leash walks, gets along well with other dogs, and absolutely loves to play with his human. This sweetie has impeccable house manners, never touching anything that isn’t his and sitting politely by the front door when he needs to go potty. Spartacus says yes please to a home with two legged kiddos, he’s super polite and loving, the epitome of a nanny dog ♥️

Are you and your family looking to add an all around practically perfect pibble to your home? Head straight on over to www.PittieLoveRescue.org and fill out an adoption application!

There’s nothing more that we love than hearing updates from our former adopters. We are honored to follow along with their adventures! When we received an update email from prior adopter Kristen and family about their beloved Lucy’s 3rd Gotcha/4th Birthday, we were thrilled. We, however, were then blown away that in honor of Lucy’s special day, her mom had quilted a gorgeous handmade quilt to donate to the rescue. As a 501c3 non-profit, all volunteer rescue, we rely solely on donations to allow us to provide the best care to the incredible dogs in our program. It is because of special people like Kristen that we can continue to go above and beyond for these dogs who deserve so much. So- here is your chance to support our rescue and bring this beautiful, one of a kind, quilt home to honor the amazing rescues in your life! From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your continued support and love, and happy bidding!!

Welcome to our online fundraising auction! This beautiful rescue quilt was handmade by PLR adopter, Kristin in honor of Lucy’s third year in her forever home and for her fourth Birthday! Happy Birthday Lucy! What better way to celebrate your dog's birthday than to help other dogs! Thank you so ver...

Jesse now Vinny goes home! This handsome brindle baby came to us from our friends at Milford Massachusetts Animal Control after being found as a stray. Fostered by longtime PittieLove supporter and foster Blair, it didn’t take this sweetie long at all to find his forever family! Here he is with mom Jessica and two-legged brother Jeffrey. Sister Adalyn and brother William are waiting impatiently at home. Jessica and family recently lost their beloved Penny, a PittieLove alum. They knew they wanted to open their hearts and homes to another pittie in need, and we worked diligently to find the perfect pup for their family to honor their amazing girls' legacy. Sweet Vinny has made himself at home quickly, mastering the basics already! He’s a smart boy, and we’re sure he’s making Penny proud over the rainbow bridge. We wish you all the happiness in the world, Vinny! We love you!🩵

Introducing Teapot! This short and stout (but certainly not little) low rider came to us from our friends at City of Boston Animal Care and Control after being found as a stray. Big thank you to amazing PittieLove foster Claudia for getting this guy out of the shelter and showing him the life every pup deserves. Teapot, at the young age of only 8 months, is proving to be an overachiever in the learning department - he’s already mastered most basic commands and learns new tricks very quickly! He would thrive in a home that wants to continue training with him. This big blonde boy and his curly-q tail walks like a dream on leash, and he takes every opportunity to happily greet friends along the route, human and dog alike! T enjoys car rides with his foster momma, politely staying in his own space and taking in the sites. If you enjoy a good game of fetch or tug- Teapot, is your guy! He could spend hours playing with his toys. Teapot says yes, please, to a four-legged sibling as well as older two-legged siblings. He’s a big goofy puppy who may accidentally run over smaller kiddos 🙈

If you and your family are looking to add a big squishy young pup with a killer smile and squiggly tail- Teapot fits the bill! Head right on over to www.PittieLoveRescue.org and fill out an adoption application!

Ladies and gentlemen, you may want to take your seats for this one. Introducing Roo Roo! This adorable cutie pie came to us from our friends at Lynn Animal Control (many thanks to Jacqui and Jr). Huge thank you to amazing PittieLove foster Karyn for doting on this little guy while he searches for his forever family. Roo Roo’s name is befitting - he plays and runs with the sweetest kangaroo like hops! Despite his young age, Roo Roo is an old soul. He’s crushing the potty training game and already knows, sit, down, touch and stay! This star pupil, like all of our puppies, will require proof of enrollment in an approved positive reinforcement training program prior to adoption. Little Roo is a stellar work from home companion- he is perfectly happy to snooze on his bed while his human earns the dog biscuits. This squish face adores other dogs and is learning to respect his feline foster sister’s space.

If you and your family are looking to add a quick learning, all-around adorable puppy to your life- look no further. Hop straight on over to www.PittieLoveRescue.org and fill out an application.

Introducing Miss Mae! This sweet little sip of springtime came to us from our friends at City of Boston Animal Care and Control. Massive thanks to PittieLove foster Noah for giving this squishy lady a safe space to land. Sweet Mae did not have the easiest start to her rescue life- as a stray, this poor little nugget was sprayed in the face with pepper spray for no reason at all. Despite all she has been through, Mae is a lover! This little girl has never met a stranger and bursts into whole body wiggles when she meets you. When she’s really comfortable with you, she may even share her little smile 🥹. Like any young dog, Mae is working on her manners, including not excitedly ushering her person over to greet anyone and everyone while on leash. This gorgeous chocolate girl is as snuggly as they get! She often forgets that she isn’t a 10lb lapdog and will crawl as close as she can get for maximum cuddling potential. Mae loves other dogs and would love a good wrestle buddy. Because of her propensity to chase squirrels and other small wildlife, she says no thank you to kitty siblings.

If you and your family are looking to add a pup who’s every bit as adorable as she is loving- don’t fret! Mae is waiting patiently to meet you! Head right on over to www.PittieLoveRescue.org and fill out an adoption application!

Introducing Jesse! This roly poly brindle cutie came to us from our friends at Milford Massachusetts Animal Control Fostered by longtime PittieLove supporter and foster Mom Blair, this big little guy is making himself right at home. Sweet Jesse is everything you want in a puppy and more. He loves to play and romp, having the time of his life with his canine foster siblings, but is equally as happy to snuggle up and soak in all of his foster moms love. He is a dream sleeper, snoring the night away cuddled right up to his favorite human. Modeling one of the many leash and collar sets generously donated to us by Walk-e-Woo, Jesse is a big puppy- weighing in at 31lbs at just 5 months! As with all puppies- we will require proof of enrollment in an approved positive reinforcement training program to help Jesse be the best pup he can be. 🧡

If you are looking to grow your family by a super sweet, happy go lucky little guy- look no further! Head right on over to www.PittieLoveRescue.org and fill out an adoption application. Jesse will be patiently waiting!

Azula, now Esther, stays home! This brindle perfect cutie came to us from our friends at Dakin Humane Society after being surrendered. The third and final of our Avatar babies to find her forever home, here she is pictured with mom Rachel, dad Rick, and brother Abraham. Little Esther was fostered by Rick and Rachel and bonded so quickly with Abe that they knew quickly that she was home to stay. She spends her days terrorizing her brother (he loves it 😂) and being a perfect breed ambassador at mom and dads retail shop. We wish you nothing but the best snuggles, kisses, and love forever, little Esther. Happy life, baby girl ♥️

Introducing Birdie! This beautiful brindle baby came to us from our friends at City of Boston Animal Care and Control after being found as a stray. Huge thank you to foster Jess and Joel for giving this little cutie a loving space to decompress. Birdies' soulful honey brown eyes seem to stare directly into your heart. This sweet little lady takes a minute to warm up to new friends, but when she loves, she loves with her whole body. Her favorite snuggling place is face to face with her foster parents 😍 Birdie must be a pittie/water fowl mix- she is an amazing swimmer! Her new favorite pastime is chasing sticks in the water, and she’s quite good at it! She also loves to follow the swimming fish 🐠 Birdie has gained so much confidence from her four-legged foster brother, so we feel that her perfect forever family would include another dog. She’s learning to respect boundaries with her foster kitties but could likely happily coexist with a feline friend.

Are you looking to add the sweetest, soulful brindle cutie to your family- Look no further! Head right on over to www.PittieLoveRescue.org and fill out an adoption application!❤️

Leila now Remi goes home! This sweet tri-colored cutie came to us when her owner was unable to properly care for her. Amazing new PittieLove foster Noah not only alerted us to her situation but was integral in helping us ensure her well-being. While in foster, sweet little Remi was finally able to stretch her legs and be the playful young pup she wanted desperately to be. Along came prior PittieLove adopters, Lisa and Melissa. These amazing adopters and their pittie boy Snoop had lost their pittie to cancer and were hoping to find a companion to fill their home and heart with pittie energy and love. They saw Remi and were immediately smitten. Here is the lucky little lady with moms Lisa and Melissa, four-legged brother Snoop, and two legged sister Mollie. We are over the moon happy for this sweet and deserving pup. Happy life, little Remi, and best wishes to you and your family! ❤️❤️

PittieLove alum Buoy wishes you and your family a happy, safe and healthy Memorial Day! He will be spending his day cruising around the Boston Harbor Islands with his pawrents! We’d also like to take a moment and reflect on what Memorial Day is actually about- honoring and mourning the U.S. military personnel who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces 🇺🇸

Thank you to all who made the sacrifice so we can enjoy this beautiful country on this beautiful day. ♥️💙

Ralph, now Otto, goes home! This big blockheaded stunner came to us from our friends at City of Boston Animal Care and Control after being found as a stray. Massive thank you to amazing PittieLove foster Karyn for springing this guy from the shelter where he was becoming very stressed. While in foster, Otto and Karyn worked very hard at managing his sweet but very puppy like behaviors, helping him to become the best version of his handsome self we all knew he could be! When prior adopters Michelle and Daniel lost their beloved pittie Franklin, they and PLR alum Penny were sorely missing the clomp of big boy pittie feet. Along came Otto! After a couple of meets, Penny decided that Otto was the one for her! Here is the man of the hour with his new, forever family! Baby two legged brother is waiting patiently at home for his big brothers arrival. Happy life big boy Otto, we love you! 🐶💙

Keanu, now Hamilton, goes home! This adorable ham with his dappled cow nose came to us from our friends at City of Boston Animal Care and Control after being found as a stray. Hammy was fostered for his brief time in the rescue by amazing new PittieLove foster Noah. This unbelievably sweet boy adapted quickly to life out of the shelter and decided within minutes that the life of a spoiled house hippo was the life for him. Along came Hamilton’s forever pawrents, Brandon and Carly, who were looking for their very own house hippo to love and spoil. They met and the rest is history, folks! Hammy is quickly making himself at home with his new family, soaking up all the love and cuddles! He’s even doing his part as the incredible breed ambassador he is, strolling around town with his dad who is a City Councillor, showing people just how incredible these pups are 😍 Happiest of lives, sweet Hamilton!! We love you, good boy!!💙💙

Vivi goes home. This pint sized pretty little lady came to us from our friends at City of Boston Animal Care and Control. She was found as a stray covered in old wounds. Amazing foster dad Alex stepped right up to get this sweet girl to safety and begin her journey to forever. That journey wasn’t long! Emily and her husband Blake had very recently lost their 16 year old pittie. They weren’t sure when the right time to honor his legacy was by adopting another dog. In came miss Vivi, one look at her soulful, sweet eyes and they were smitten! Vivi’s story is a true rags to riches, from wandering the streets covered in evidence of a past that was clearly traumatic to her very own massive farm and family that loves her more than words. She even has her very own pond, although she hasn’t yet made her mind up about that one 🤣 We could not be happier for you, sweet girl! Have the best life, we love you! ♥️

Introducing Hattie! This lightly frosted faced tripod came to us from our friends at City of Boston Animal Care and Control after being found as a stray. HUGE thanks to amazing foster dad Alex for swooping right in to get this little lady out of the shelter when her foster fell through last minute. Hattie girl is every bit as sweet as she is adorable. She’s an easy keeper- she’s mellow mannered, loves belly rubs and coexists peacefully with her four-legged foster brother. Being a tripod, Hattie doesn’t require a lot of exercise, but she gets along quite well on her remaining three legs, jumping right up on the couch to give her foster dad kisses of thanks! This sweet little lady is proving to be quite a velcro pup- she loves nothing more than a soft, warm lap to snuggle in and to be showered with well-deserved pats and kisses.

Are you and your family looking to add the sweetest, slightly frosted love of a pittie to your life? Head right on over to www.PittieLoveRescue.org and fill out an adoption application. Sweet Hattie will be patiently waiting to meet you! ❤️

Katara now Bruin goes home! Bruin came to us with two of his siblings after being surrendered to our friends at Dakin Humane Society Springfield. Bruin was fostered by amazing longtime PittieLove fosters Randy, Becca and family. The first of our Avatar puppies to find his forever home, he is pictured here with mom Paula and sister Hannah. Paula and her family recently and suddenly lost their four year old pittie and were absolutely devastated. The family as well as PittieLove alum Shelby were really missing having the pitter patter of two pittie paws underfoot. They met sweet Bruin at Paws in the Park and knew he was just the puppy to fill the void left behind by their boys passing. Dad Rod and brothers Tanner and Connor wait anxiously at home for this cuties arrival. We are so happy for all involved and wish you the happiest of lives little Bruin!! Congratulations to all ♥️🐶

Our Story

PittieLove Rescue, Inc. is an all-volunteer, foster-home-based rescue dedicated to the care, understanding, and adoption of the American Pit Bull Terrier. PittieLove’s primary goal is to ensure that our rescued dogs will never again suffer from abuse or neglect. We work diligently to carefully place them into loving homes where, for all of their remaining years, they will experience the affection and kindness that has been so sorely absent from their lives. Although we do not accept dogs into our program that show aggression toward other dogs, we prefer to place our rescued dogs as only pets or with a compatible dog of the opposite sex.¹ Our strict adoption policies include, but are not limited to, a comprehensive application process (with personal and vet reference checks), an initial phone screen, and a home visit. Please read our Adoption Policies on our website for more detailed information. ¹ It is important to distinguish the difference between dog/animal aggression and human aggression. Human aggression is not a normal trait of pit bull-type dogs.
