Our Story
We are starting this page to reach out for help from our community in order for us to keep doing what we do!
We are not affiliated with any other page, animal control, humane society, or rescue. We do this all privately and out of our own pockets - and are working towards getting a 501(c). This page is meant for a few different reasons. First is to educate the public on matters involving animals ranging from low cost spay and neuter clinics or options for people who need help with vet bills. All animals should be vaccinated because disease spreads very easily among all living things. They all should be spayed/neutered because we have an overflow of abandoned animals in need of loving, forever homes. The cost of a puppy or a kitten from a pet store can be expensive - shelters or rescues charge minimal rates.
Second thing is that a pet is FOREVER no matter what kind of pet that is! Make sure before choosing a pet for your own family that it is the perfect fit. Always do all the research for that animals food necessitates, habitat requirements, and its social needs. It will make a huge difference in the decision making process for your family if everyone knows what that animal is going to require.
Third is Feral Cat Colonies are very special and each cat in the colony has its own personality. These colonies are well worth the same effort and time that all pets get - it took me a year but Smokey will not leave my property now. Domesticated cats can live both domesticated and wild. So, they do well out on their own and some of them prefer it - they should be spayed or neutered. Which is why we are trying to get a voucher or a Trap Neuter and Release program started - this would ensure less kittens every spring. There are many cities already that offer these programs (http://www.lovethatcat.com/stca.html).
