The Chiltern Premium Bale - large 20 kg bales of premium quality clean wood flakes. These shavings are specifically manufactered for equine bedding and not produced as an industry by product. Made from
purposely cut freshly debarked pine trees which provide clean white flakes. They are made up of a mixture of large and small flakes which provide a superior bed structure but also ensure maximum absorbency and comfort. The Chiltern Mixed Bale - This is a mixture of finely chopped and de-dusted straw mixed with our premium shavings. This bedding has excellent insulation and absorbency qualities. The bedding is also mixed with pleasant eucalyptus oil which helps discourage horses attempting to eat their bedding and also aids keeping airways clear. This along with the double de-dusting process further reduces the occurence of COPD. This product can also cover up to 30% more floor area than some industry standard shavings. The Chiltern Green Bale - This bedding is made from finely chopped and double de-dusted oil seed r**e straw. The chopped straw composts very quickly resulting in a much smaller dung heap than when using other products. The straw has a tough outer shell which provides a long lasting bed but also a highly absorbent one due to the pithy inner core of the straw. Like the mixed bale it is also mixed with eucalyptus oil to discourage horses attempting to eat their bedding and also aid airway function. Chiltern Equine Bedding products can be delivered throughout the South of England, Home Counties and the Midlandsin various sized deliveries. Delivery is subject to minimum order quantities and the mileage from our base in Chalfont St Giles. As part of our commitment to the enviroment not only do we use ecologically sourced timber but will also collect and dispose of clear plastic from used bales on regular orders.
