Meet Carolina Poodle Rescue’s adoptable Bingo!

Bingo is an almost 4 year old Standard Poodle! He came to us as a breeder release, and he is looking for home with a securely fenced yard. He is still learning how to trust humans after being in a breeding environment. Everything is new to him, so he is looking for an adopter who can give him time and love while he figures out the world. Someone with endless patience who is committed to helping him grow into a confident companion would be perfect, especially if they spend most of their time at home. He needs another large, confident dog in his home to learn from. Bingo has spent his whole life around other dogs and needs a leader to show him the way. Children would not be a good match for Bingo. He needs people to teach him the basics, like simple commands and walking on a leash. While he can be a shy gig with new people, he typically adjusts after a few minutes to allow pets. It will take time to build trust. He needs you to let him move at his own pace.

Meet Adoptable Lucy of OH!
Lucy is an adult female Miniature Poodle mix. She came to CPR in late October 2024. This adorable senior lady was found as a stray in Tennessee following Hurricane Helene and has had quite the journey to get to where she is now. Lucy arrived at Carolina Poodle Rescue with severe dental issues and needed a full mouth extraction. After some much-needed dental care, she’s feeling so much better and is now on a soft food diet.

Lucy has been through a lot recently, and she’s ready to settle into a calm, loving home where she can enjoy her golden years in peace. She loves to eat, sleep, and snuggle with her human. Her favorite activities include giving sweet kisses and curling up in your lap for a nap. She’s very low-maintenance, and her gentle, easygoing nature makes her the perfect companion for someone seeking a relaxed, affectionate pet.

Lucy would thrive in a quiet, peaceful home where she can feel safe and cherished. Whether you live in a house or an apartment, she’s adaptable and content as long as she has a cozy doggie bed or a spot on the couch to call her own. Lucy would make a wonderful companion for a senior retiree, a single person, or a couple. Because of her calm nature, she would be happiest in a home with older, teenaged children—she’s not a fan of the noise and unpredictability of younger kids.

Lucy has been through a lot in her life, and now she just wants to enjoy the simple pleasures: sunny spots to nap in, gentle cuddles with her human, and a peaceful, loving home. 🫶💪🩵TRANSFORMATION THURSDAY!!🩵💪🫶

Friends, meet Shadow. Hands down the heaviest transformation we've ever been part of. 8.5 pounds of heavy‼️ 8.5 pounds of hair‼️ 8.5 pounds‼️

No, Shadow wasn't a stray... he was surrendered to a shelter directly by his owner 😤 So severely matted that he literally could not lift or bend his legs to urinate. So thin underneath all the air. Being surrendered was his luckiest day 🙌

Yesterday, Shadow was sedated to allow 4 people to work for hours removing the painful, filthy, life-limiting hair from his body. Last night, he had a warm bath. Today, the healing begins.

Every day, we have the privilege of saying yes to dogs that need us. Some days, we are really humbled by the yeses that we need to say. We do what we do only because of you. Thank you.

Meet Adoptable JD!
JD is a male Standard Poodle (to the best of our knowledge). He came to CPR in early October 2024 as a Hurricane Helene survivor. He was found as a stray. JD is currently in a foster home in Greensboro, NC.

JD is an active, happy boy who loves to play. He would thrive in a home with an adopter who enjoys an active lifestyle—whether you’re a single person, a couple, or a family. While JD enjoys company, he can be a bit unsure around boisterous young children, so he’d likely do best with kids aged eight and older, or calmer, dog-savvy children. JD is the ideal companion for someone who enjoys outdoor adventures. Whether it’s playing in the backyard, going for a jog, or hiking in the mountains, JD will be there, ready to keep up. He’s full of energy and loves to be included in family activities.

JD requires a home with a canine companion, as having another dog around will help him learn how to be the best pet he can be. His foster describes JD as a playful goofball who brings pure joy to everyone around him. He loves playing hide-and-seek behind trees and shrubs, and he’s the master of zoomies—extremely fast and full of energy! JD also LOVES toys, especially squeaky ones. Throw one out in the yard and enjoy watching him chase and pounce.

JD is a funny, affectionate dog who loves to play and is very social with other dogs. He’s also non-reactive with cats, which makes him a good fit for a multi-pet household.

JD is a smart dog and is quick to pick up new things. While he doesn’t pull on the leash when walking, his adopter will need to continue working on leash training and basic commands like sit, stay, down, and come. His foster describes him as “wicked smart,” so he’ll likely pick up new skills quickly with the right training and guidance.

If you’re looking for an active, affectionate dog who will be your constant companion, JD is the perfect match. He’s looking for someone who can keep up with his energy and adventures, but who also has the patience to help him continue learning and growing.

Sometimes great dogs just take a long time to find the right home. And that, friends, is Dutton. 2.5 years old. Raised in a loving home. A wonderful boy patiently waiting for his happily ever after. Luna’s Legacy means he has all the time he needs until his lucku family comes along. And boy is someone going to get lucky with this boy!! 🐩💙

At 8 years young, Bentley seems to have it all. Small. Apricot. Past the puppy stage. And….. looking for his person unapologetically. Enter Olivia - one of our incredible team members and Bentley’s person. It only took him 18 months to find her. We think it’s worth the wait! 💕

Smutley!! Smut Mutt! Smudge!! Our favorite senior paraplegic of Dreamweaver Farms. Almost 8 years strong in rescue 💪😍

Luca - 4 years young and full of life. Full of personality and wildly unpredictable. A permanent member of our sanctuary where he is safe and loved exactly as he is.

Oh Rachel…. How did your beautiful body wind up wandering the streets?? At an estimated 11 years young, it is clear Rachel has been loved. She is also one of our full mouth extraction club members due to very poor dental care. Thanks to Luna’s Legacy Medical Fund, we have the close to $1,000 it takes to remove 23 teeth. We know she feels so much better! “

To meet Hershey is to love!! At 5 years young, Hershey is one of our special boys. Born with an autoimmune disease called Sebaceous Adenitis - a condition that affects the skin and hair - Hershey’s family knew he needed more and asked rescue to help. How could we say no?! Hershey’s condition is a lifelong commitment. Luna’s Legacy Medical Fund makes that commitment possible!

Hold on to your hearts friends - Sadie and Willow are here to say hello!!! They’re in our new to the rescue club and going up for adoption this week. 2 “ordinary” girls who are pure magic! Introducing Denny… an estimated 12 year old shih tzu found as a stray. He’s a hot mess express. And he’s ours. And we wouldn’t have him any other way 😍 Denny is just one of the many dogs for whom everyday life takes a lot. You make it possible!

Next up is Sugga…. At 11 years old she has a chest full of mammary tumors. Surrendered when her owner could no longer care for her. Her lucky day as Sugga needs urgent medical attention. Luna’s Legacy Medical Fund allows us to say yes to dogs like Sugga. Your generosity today allows a us to continue this important lifesaving work!
