Hi everybody, Foster and all around good boy Waylon here. Yesterday, I went for my dental consult and although my teeth looked pretty good I may have a couple molars that need to come out but that’s okay because the vet said I had some extra. So, I’m scheduled for my dental on the 24th and Ms Sue says after that I can start looking for my furever home. I’ve been with Ms Sue since Nov 1 2024 so I really love it here but Ms Sue says I’ll love my very own family too. I can’t wait to start looking!

It’s Tongue Out Tuesday. We want to show off foster BANDIT. He is such a handsome boy. Be sure to show him some love.

Bandit, came to us from South Carolina, leaving behind a life of being a stud dog. He has adapted to “the good life.” He loves being petted and belly rubs and spends time gazing out the windows, guarding his home from squirrels. Bandit also enjoys hunting frogs…outside.

SOCKS Alumni Goldie is living her best life! She has gained so much confidence and is the queen of the dog park. Everyone there knows Goldie! It makes our hearts so happy when we receive these pictures of our alumni and know what amazing lives they are living. ❤️

It’s the first! Alum Magnolia here to remind you to give your furbaby their heartworm preventative.

It only takes ONE BITE from an infected mosquito and an unprotected dog can get infected with young heartworms that can do damage to their heart and lungs that can shorten their life. These worms can develope and grow to be a FOOT LONG! If not treated, your furbaby will DIE a horrible death. Heartworm treatment is expensive. It’s awful to go through and…a dog can actually die from the treatment!

Whether you give your preventative on the first or another day, just make sure your best friend gets it. It’s such an easy way to prevent something so horrible.

The love and care our Foster dogs receive some for the first time in their lives is just so heartwarming. We hope to erase their past memories and fill them with new wonderful memories. ❤️SOCKS Foster Mojo came to us so terribly neglected but has sure enjoyed his new life with his foster family, especially his little human foster sisters. They say it’s Mojo’s world and they’re just living in it 💕

SOCKS Foster Arlis made his way from north of Huntsville, AL to Auburn, AL today thanks to Britanie and Lillian! He will spend the week with Lil and her Cocker loving family and Ms Sue will pick him up next weekend to head to FL. Everybody loves this boy and Ms Lil said he was the best car rider ever! We will be making him an appointment with Dr Brown to see the eye specialist. So stay tuned…..

Fostering these precious souls is so rewarding. Being with them on their journey to a new deserving life is amazing. Together, we can make sure every animal gets the second chance.

When you foster, you actually save TWO lives, the dog you have opened your home to AND the dog that will take his place at the shelter. If no foster is available, the dog can’t be rescued and their future is hanging by a thread that can snap at any moment.

WE NEED YOU. We can only save as many as we have fosters for. It is SOCKS’ 8th Birthday. The pawfect gift would be EIGHT additional fosters, the gift of saving a life.

If you live, basically, in the northern half of Florida, SOCKS needs YOU. The pups need YOU. SOCKS will provide the vetting, medications, heartworm & flea preventatives and prescription food, if needed. You provide a comfy place to lay their head, a full tummy and love…lots of love.
