Bette 💕 Bette arrived is really rough condition after being rescued by a Good Samaritan in the Texas valley. She arrived and she was skinny, overbred, had skin infections, flea dermatitis, bloody urine, ears infected, severe untreated dry eye on one eye and the other eye had been very badly damaged, painful, and left untreated for so long that it was blind and required enucleation. Poor Bette had also visibly not been treated kindly by her greedy selfish breeders. Whatever methods they used for handling her left her very scared and with some ptsd about medical handling when at vet offices. Plus she had been in some very serious pain in her poor eyes which probably added to the fears. 💔 It’s really hard to think about what she was put through and how much cruelty she endured. The good news (and a testament to her resilience) is that at home she is sweet as can be and lets foster mom medicate her good eye, she gets her bulldog maintenance done, and loves being pampered now. She also has doggy friends that she will play and lounge around the house with. Bette is recovering nicely from her enucleation, has also now been spayed. Next will have heartworm treatment. ❤️‍🩹 Bette would love a home with experienced bulldog owners who want a playful and loving young dog to show the good life to. And we would also like that home to be patient and caring about how Bette feels when at the vet and maybe work with her to change those big scary feelings and help her trust medical professionals again. 🙏🏼 We just love this silly sweet girl and think she will fill a home with so much joy and love! ❤️

Shrimpy 🦐 just got his last heartworm treatment shot and is resting and recuperating post treatment ❤️‍🩹 Keep your pets on heartworm prevention friends! Heartworm is NOT cheap… but our Shrimp deserves a long and happy life. This is a preventable problem and one we will make sure Shrimpy will never have to deal with again!

🚨 🚑 DESPERATE PLEA! - We need help to save Lala's life 🚑 🚨 This is a truly difficult situation in every sense of the word. We've been trying to figure out how to post this or what to even say, as so much about what is actually going on with poor Lala is unknown to us. What we do know though is her situation is severe and to get to the bottom of this is going to be extremely expensive. An expense we can't afford, but that Lala deserves. We kind of feel helpless here. 💔 We got a late afternoon plea from an ER to please help them give Lala a chance where her family simply couldn't afford to. She was vomiting profusely and collapsing. Literally, the second she had any kind of exciting reaction she will just fall over. It's so upsetting and scary to see and we are desperate to raise funds to be able to do all of the testing and care that we need to give this little one a chance. 😓 The list of potential causes is a bit scary and overwhelming, but we have an amazing vet team that believes we can figure this out, but it means that we desperately need to raise funds because the only way we will be able to fully get to the bottom of this is with a $5000 MRI, and that doesn't even cover the cost of her hospitalization and treatment. ‼️ She could have a spinal cord injury, meningitis, encephalitis, narcolepsy... Or maybe even a combination of some of these things. We have started treatment for the low hanging fruit but we desperately need to be able to get more information so that we can proceed in a safe way to save her life. 🆘 The bills are endless. We have dogs already scheduled for very necessary surgeries and so raising funds to save Lala means that no one else will have to go without. 😞 We couldn't let her die.
