A HUGE thank you to all the people that supported our Funday this year! From the stall holders to the band to the the dancers to the volunteers to the families and of course not forgetting the wonderful dogs! You not only made it a truly memorable day, but have helped raise lots of funds to enhance the experience for the students at Bodiam Primary School!

We're all looking forward to tomorrow - just a note that the Funday will largely be cash transactions for the PTA run stalls. We are experimenting with card machines but know that reception can sometimes be a bit hit or miss...The nearest cashpoints are at the local shops in Staplecross & Sandhurst.

Reflecting on such a wonderful day yesterday, thank you to everyone who came and supported us, the dog show was a huge success and supported by Freedom Fields as was the Source skatepark, gladiator and many bouncy castles donated by Rush Witt and Wilson. All the wonderful stalls and charities that attended, they absolutely added to the event!
Thank you to our wonderful band for entertaining us, Hero's for hire for coming as Mario and Luigi!
Kerry Fruits for all the coconuts and fruit for pimms! All the wonderful companies that donated raffle prizes and of course The Castle Inn for helping us with the cold beer station!

I cannot thank everyone enough, what an absolute show of community spirit! I have never seen so many enthusiastic pets ready for the dog show!
The day itself exceeded expectations, run smoothly and we have had so many wonderful comments already. Thank you to each and every one of you for your support to our fun day and our wonderful village school.
We say goodbye to the wonderful Rebecca for her 18 plus years of dedication to the school and funday as well as Gemma and Joanna and welcome our new fun day team to take over!

DOGS IN VEHICLES ON HOT DAYS

• When travelling to a show please take a moment to consider whether the route to the show is on a busy holiday route, and leave earlier to avoid increased time in traffic jams.
• If your vehicle is not air-conditioned seriously consider whether travelling to the show is a good idea at all.
• The vehicle should be as fully ventilated as possible, and plenty of stops should be taken, with lots of water available to drink.
• Ensure your dog is not sitting in full sunlight. There should be plenty of free flowing air around the dog.
• When at the show, never leave your dog in the vehicle.
• Keep the dog in the shade – take your own shade, for example a large umbrella and always have plenty of water available to drink so your dog stays well hydrated.
• Avoid your dog taking part in unnecessary exertion, or from standing in exposed sunlight for extended lengths of time.
Remember, if you feel hot your dog is very likely to feel much hotter and dehydrated, and this could lead to dire results. Please look after your dog’s welfare.
Warning: if your dog is found to be at risk, forcible entry to your vehicle may be necessary without liability for any damage caused.
Right to refuse entries. Exhibitors/competitors are reminded that show societies have the right under Kennel Club Regulations to refuse any entry.
Dogs in vehicles on hot days entry form notice
Your dog is vulnerable and AT RISK if left in a vehicle in high temperatures and even on days considered as slightly warm. Please take care of your dog.
If your dog is found to be at risk, forcible entry to your vehicle may be necessary without liability for any damage caused.

Stall holder information for the day!

We look forward to seeing you this Saturday 17th June for Bodiam fun day, we shall be down in the field from 10.00 so please feel free to set up anytime for then. The day will be open from 12.00!

You will find us located in the cricket fields behind the Castle inn pub in Bodiam, we shall be putting the stalls in tram lines to make it easy for guests to visit each stall. If you are a dog stall please locate yourself next to the ring where the dog show will be located, otherwise please go in a row adjacent to the car park. We have lots of rooms so encourage gazebos to keep you safe from the sun and please bring your own table, you are welcome to unload and park your car behind but we do ask if possible for you to move your car back to the car park once you have set up. It is very near!

You will see some helpers on the day in high vis jackets; so please ask them if you have any questions. Please feel free to drive in and set up next to the following stall to keep it all neat!
