Alary Acre Alary means "winged."

A friend blessed my little farm and me with this name for not only my love for the winged ones but, also for the state of Freedom all beings are able to realize once they find equilibrium in the mind and also within context of Universe.

General information

This little urban farm is geared toward sustainability and even though much of the fowl I raise are ornamental varieties or exhibition birds, any of the animals I raise are done with the intention that, little by little, we grow more of our own food, create less and less waste and use as little additional resources as possible. (harder than it seems when it never even seems to rain anymore in Southern California!) Not only is this more economical, it's better for us. The previously mentioned "incidental porcine" are our little recyclers! Everything goes into the compost to be utilized for gardening later. We're still in our preliminary stages but, the eggs are good, the chickens are producing, and the garden is coming along nicely.
