The diaper fits comfortably like a flexible harness, and can move around as your duck will, while staying on even the most rebellious of ducks. If your ducks are not used to the diapers, they will most likely try to pull them off until they are, but these diapers are specially made so a duck will not be able to take it off. They get used to them very soon. My ducks come straight to me when they see me holding them and get into diapering position lol. Every Diaper is made with 100% cotton and have a waterproof lining of vinyl inside to prevent leaks. The side straps also prevent leaks from leaking out the sides when the duck wags his/her tail. I now have diapers that are adjustable and do not use elastic. Without the elastic, they are secure enough to attach a leash for outings, and are also equipped with a leash loop. They are especially good for rebellious ducks, and will not wear out as fast as the elastic due to stretching in the washer. Because they do not have the elastic, they have to be made adjustable to accommodate seasonal weight and size fluctuations that the elastic would adjust to automatically. Liners:
These diapers are reusable but need to be lined with material that can be changed more frequently! To line the diaper, you can use disposable menstrual pads, halved infant diapers, or even folded up paper towels. They are very durable and made with 5 layers of different absorbent materials with waterproof material underneath for added leak protection. They are perfect for overnight, while you're at work or school, or if you want to cut back on waste! Washing Instructions:
These diapers are machine washable, but cannot be ironed or dried on really hot settings because of the waterproof lining. They can be tumble-dried on medium to low heat. Please do not use any harsh chemicals that may harm your duckś delicate feathers and skin! Ducks are wonderful companions, and are perfect for a household with allergies to other common pets. They are loyal, cuddly, playful and entertaining with such diverse personalities, and with diapers they can be happy all the time because they can be near the people they love and think of as their flock! If you would like an even cheaper option, I am now making diapers made from recycled, and reduced materials! The catch is that these discounted diapers are not so open to requests for custom colors or prints because I make them out of used materials that I can find available. I can make sure to look for something feminine, masculine, or gender neutral. This also cuts back on materials that would otherwise sit in landfills, and puts them to good use, making them reusable again! They are made well, will last quite a while, and can be machine washed just the same as the original diapers. The vinyl will be exposed, so if you have a duck that is not used to being diapered, you may need to be careful of toenails piercing holes into the material. They are cheaper to make, so they are cheaper to buy! Ducks come in all different shapes and sizes just like people, so They all need the right size! I do have a range of standard sizes for quite a handful of specific breeds, but if your duck will allow you, taking measurements will guarantee a proper fit. There are 4 measurements and I have made a video on how to take them. I have also made a video on how to put the diapers on to make sure your duck is wearing them right. The first measurement is from the base of the neck to the oil gland between the wings. The second measurement is on the chest from the other side of the base of the neck down their chest to just behind the legs. The third measurement is around the very bottom of their neck,
and the Fourth measurement is around their butt right behind their legs. For example, my pekin is 9'', 10'', 9 1/2", and 15"
