This poor dog has been at the shelter for almost 4 months. He has finally had enough 😓 he’s having a hard time in his kennel and he’s now due to be euthanasia used on 8/28.
This boy doesn’t deserve to die 💔💔💔💔
Brody is a friendly friendly boy!
Has met so many people and done many many public dog walks and loves meeting everyone.
He’s around 5 years old and 50lbs
He’s happy and always got a good tail wag!
He also loves to play and great on the leash

‼️ Sweet Annabelle💕 needs help ‼️
Annabelle came to the shelter in June after being rescued by community members. 🫶 She had been wandering various greenways and folks were very concerned about her being out in the heat and getting hit by a car… She was skittish at first but ultimately became comfortable and playful with dogs that visited the greenway and followed a family (and their 3 dogs home). She was contained and spent the night with another good samaritan. That kind soul reports that Annabelle was the biggest sweetheart! She allowed her to pick her up, laid in her lap, snuggled on the couch and enjoyed toys. She says she would have kept her except for her own very reactive dog. (See finder’s video in comments)
Fast forward to today and Annabelle has a deadline of 8/28 and needs to be adopted by 6pm on that day. She is not doing well in her kennel and is jumping and frantic. 🥺 She is desperate to be with people and getting her in and out of her kennel has become trickier.
Outside of her kennel, she is the sweetest! She is playful, gives kisses, wants to climb on your lap and loves stuffies.

Roscoe is about 3 years old and was surrendered by a family that just wasn’t right for him. They said he got along with the other dog in the home but it did take a little while so he would definitely need slow introductions, but I also think he would be fine flying solo.
Roscoe is so adorable and such a love🥰
I think he would do better with young adult or adult home just based on the notes from the previous family. He appears potty trained and kennel trained. He takes treats well and knows sit, and he walks great on the leash.

I think he would be such a fun dog and really sweet with the right family. I just really don’t think the lifestyle of the family before was right for him. This boy is so sweet🫶🏼

These 2 pups are so similar and need so many of the same things. Both are around 3 years old. They did not come in together and they do not know each other, but they need love in a very similar way🫶🏼.
They are both kind of just existing. Breaks our hearts. They just need a home to build some confidence. Both would not hurt a fly. Jenny and Mounds appear potty trained and kennel trained. They are great on the leash and allowed all grooming. But oddly enough, they both hate the camera as well! 📸🤣
Both are not reactive to other dogs at all. Honestly, other friendly dogs might comfort them. That being said, they are very shy so they will need ALL the recommended time separated and very slow and safe introductions to other animals.

Sweet + gentle giant Tippy is on the euthanasia list due to needing eye removal surgery, likely caused by glaucoma.
Tippy arrived at the shelter with her 7-month-old baby Junie. We would love to keep these two together, as it is clear they find comfort in each other’s presence. To make this possible, we need funds to cover Tippy’s surgery + a foster that can open their doors to both.

Poor Smokey was adopted as a young puppy from MCACC then surrendered by his family because they were moving 😭
Thankfully he was left with AWESOME notes so that is great for whoever is interested in adopting him.

But Buff is very scared at the shelter. He feels happiest when his favorite aunties hold him and snuggle with him. He would love a full time human to give him all the love he wants.
I promise, he will love you just as much back🫶🏼
Buff is about 4 years old and is very gentle and polite, just scared. He does not seem reactive to other dogs, but he is shy so he would absolutely need all the time to completely separated to decompress and very slow and safe introductions to other pets.
Buff also appears to have an old injury to his left eye. It is quite glassy. It is unknown how much he can see out of that eye, but it does not seem to cause him pain and allows you to touch near it. But it would be best if he is adopted and sees the family vet, to have it checked out down the line. Just to be sure.

Unfortunately, Buster is showing kennel stress. But outside of the kennel, this boy is perfection. He is polite, appears potty trained, walks great on the leash, takes treats gently, gives the best kisses, and he’s a pool bae💦💦
In the kennel he has been a little dog reactive with his neighbors, but it’s giving, “I’m bored so I might as well get involved with the chaos” energy. Outside of the kennel he is not dog reactive. However, he is stressed and a big boy. He would ABSOLUTELY need all the recommended time separated to decompress and very slow and safe introductions to other dogs. Kids would most likely be fine as long as they are polite with animals.

This is sweet and gentle boy, Mounds at mcacc west❤️🫶🏼…and what a hidden gem! Mounds is about 3 years old and has been waiting since May for a family. That is absolutely unacceptable! I spent about two hours with him today and he is such a rockstar. He’s just a little shy so he’s kept himself under the radar which breaks my heart😭
This boy is polite, great on the leash, no dog reactivity, takes treats very gently, and potty trained. He’s just a little shy. He needs a second. It’s not painfully shy, he just needs to feel safe. He was not a fan of the camera so I didn’t get the best pictures, but we had a wonderful time together. This dog is such a rockstar⭐️ I would not sleep on this dog another day. He is not dog reactive, but how he is socially is technically still unknown at this time. He would need all the proper time to decompress and very slow and safe introductions.

Chongo’s owner brought chongo to the vet to get care for his growth. Chongo was no longer able to move his neck and the growth was growing in size.
Chongo’s owner was given 2 option- put chongo down or pay for an expensive surgery. She was unable to pay for a surgical procedure of any sort. A vet tech who was part of this situation reached out to Four Paws and Friends and we agreed to help Chongo and his owner!
Chongo has his surgery scheduled and will be on the up and up ! ❤️

🚨Emergency Surgery Needed for Rosie!🚨
Rosie has been thriving in her foster home until yesterday when she suddenly became ill, showing signs of vomiting, diarrhea, and difficulty urinating. Rushed to the vet this morning, she was diagnosed with bladder stones, one of which is blocking her urethra. Surgery is scheduled first thing tomorrow to remove the stones. This brave girl has endured so much and is fighting hard. Please consider donating towards her critical surgery! This is a $2000 cost we were not expecting.

Meet Deedee, a young, independent, and curious canine with a friendly nature and a brave heart.
She's quite the character with a love for adventure. Her journey to the shelter is a comedy of errors. One day, Deedee decided to follow a squirrel up a tree, only to find herself stranded. The fire department had to be called to rescue her! Since then, she's been known as the 'Tree-Climbing Diva'. Just kidding!!!
She's quite the foodie and doesn't like to share her meals. But don't let that fool you. Deedee is a loyal companion who's always up for a new adventure. She's waiting for a forever home where she can continue her escapades and make you laugh every day.

Bianca is said to be about 5 years old and has all the physical signs of previous neglect. She was also a mama dog more than once. But now it’s her time to retire and enjoy love for herself. And all this girl wants is affection. She will skip any snack given to her for some love. Bianca is polite, sweet, gentle, potty trained, walks great on the leash, and takes treats gently.
