FIVE years ago the lives of those in Abaco Bahamas changed for ever.
Abaco Shelter was able to bring their animals to safety and today they continue STRONG making a difference in this precious island in The Bahamas.
Here so many of us came together with one mission and one mission only to help them. So many of you came forward to do just that. Thank you.
Five years later they still need our help and support with the everyday care of stray animals in their area.

Today while we were waking up our beautiful Margot was arriving at Newark airport making her way to her new furever home.
A few months ago during one of our adoption fairs hosted in old San Juan in collaboration with Compañía de Turismo de Puerto Rico, Margot met her prospect human mom Carmen
Carmen lives in Washington DC. We started her adoption application during the event and later continued processing it until it was fully approved.
This morning Margot took an early flight on Amerijet to Newark while her adopting mom traveled by car from DC to Newark to pick her up.
This are some of the stories that truly gives us hope. When complete strangers come in contact with our beautiful Satos and develop a bond leading to this process.
Margot arrived safe and Carmen was there ready to receive her.
We wish them the best life together . We know they will be making great memories for years to
come.

The silent is ON NOW virtually and will run using the platform Zeffy until Thursday August 22 at 11am.
At that point the silent auction will move to a in person silent auction from 4pm to 7pm during Scan Design Artist Guild - pop up art gallery at their store located at 3900 N Federal Highway in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
All of the bids placed virtually will be transferred to our in person list at Scan Design.
Bids will end at 6:50 pm Thursday August 22, 2024.
At the time the winners will be announced.
Winners will be able to take home their prices that night.

RIP Kloeh
our hearts are broken - our beautiful Kloeh fought the fight of kidney failure but the situation got the best of her. Thirteen years ago she came to us as a rescue that became a foster that was never adopted. Instead she became part of our little sanctuary.
She lived a great life with her fur siblings until the end.
Yesterday we buried her with much love and dignity in a very special place.
We continue to do@whats best for them every way we can.

Breeding season is in full swing and many birds will be raising their chicks somewhere out there. You may come across a small, seemingly helpless bird on the ground, so it’s important to know what could have happened, and what, if anything, you can do about it. We say, “if anything”, as contrary to that caring urge many of us get when we see a life in potential danger, sometimes the best thing you can do is absolutely nothing. We just found this one and just ushered it off the street into the grass 🙏
