In the aftermath of Hurricane Melissa, we all need to stay extra safe and aware of diseases that can pass between animals and people – like leptospirosis. 🚨

✅ Avoid contact with floodwater as much as possible
✅ Wear shoes or any foot covering outdoors
✅ Use boiled or bottled water when available
✅ Keep pets & livestock away from dirty water
✅ Vaccinate pets & livestock and watch for signs like yellow eyes, fever, vomiting or abortion

If you or your animals feel unwell, seek medical or veterinary care right away. Please share to help keep Jamaica safe.
