With a sad heart we regret to inform the public of the passing of Marley, a sweet hearted Pitbull who passed away after being shot in her yard. She was cared for and treated by and succumbed to her injuries last week after returning home

The owner will be pursuing legal action and we wish him the best in this case

We hope to see more conversation regarding animal welfare and their protection coming out of this

02/09/2021

Sweet girl Marley is finally home with her owner

After being shot by an off-duty police officer as JPS workers entered the premises, she’s been through a lot

A BIG thank you to EVERYONE who was part of her story: her rescuers, her medical team and everyone who keeps calling for BETTER ANIMAL WELFARE IN JAMAICA 🇯🇲

Let’s hope she stays safe and that better will be done for ALL our animals

Thankfully Marley is recovering with Dr. Josephs and staff Noah's Ark Veterinary Centre

Let’s see how our justice system will handle this case

14/08/2021

Marley was shot while tied in her own yard as persons attempted to enter the premises to disconnect the power

She has suffered ! But thankfully she’s recovering with the help of and all the staff helping her and the family through this difficult time ❤️‍🩹

We look forward to seeing the laws protect her and deliver justice. Also we look forward to seeing more improvements in welfare legislation 📜 and we stand ready to advise ! 🇯🇲

1. Ensuring food safety through safe care, transportation and slaughter of animals for consumption 🍽
2. Eradicating diseases that can affect animals AND humans (zoonoses) such as Rabies 🦇🐶
3. Preventing diseases from crossing borders into other countries ⛔️
