The Fillies Club is a unique meeting of the minds for all Equestrian topics held Monthly first Thursday of the month at the Farm from 6:30 to 8:00 pm.

DO SOFT MUZZLES, THE SMELL OF LEATHER, HAY AND THE SOUND OF HOOFBEATS, SPEAK TO YOUR SOUL?----- We have created a new club where horse lovers can unite. We will be learning everything there is to know about horses from communication to personally bonding with a horse. Club members will leave our meetings with extensive amounts of knowledge and create a new unbridled passion for horses. Join us Thursdays from 6:30 to 8:00 pm monthly for our The Fillies Club here at the farm. We meet on the First Thursday of the month weather permitting.

General information

On an intellectual level, we have found that working with a therapy horse provides many of our clients with the motivation to learn new things. Individuals with learning or cognitive impairments benefit from improved concentration, patience, coping skills and discipline. Broader educational goals such as letter recognition and sequencing also can be incorporated into equine activities. Socially, therapeutic riding activities help individuals interact with their peers in group settings. The related activities we offer are enjoyable, yet they also provide the challenges needed to help our participants achieve success and experience all the benefits of their positive interaction with horses, volunteers and staff.
