Shaping behavior in dog training is all about breaking down a desired behavior into small achievable steps, and rewarding your pup for each step they take towards that goal. 🐾
This method helps dogs learn new behaviors gradually and builds their confidence along the way. Here's how shaping works in a few simple steps:

1️⃣ Set a clear goal: Decide on the behavior you want to teach your dog, whether it's sitting on command or walking nicely on a leash.

2️⃣ Break it down: Divide the behavior into smaller steps that lead up to the final goal. For example, if you're teaching your dog to sit, you might start by rewarding them for bending their knees slightly.

3️⃣ Reward progress: Each time your dog successfully completes a step towards the desired behavior, give them a treat or praise to reinforce that action.

4️⃣ Be patient: Shaping takes time and consistency, so be patient with your pup as they learn each step of the process.

By using shaping in your training sessions, you can help your dog understand what is expected of them and build a strong foundation for future learning.

You were born in Koh Phangan, year 2013.

A lovely lady saved you from your fate and you were the only survivor amongst your siblings.
You were and island girl for around 4 years and part of this lady's huge pack that were all hoping to find a new home.

2017 was the second year I visited the island and started my little passion project as a dog trainer.
Helping locals and train the island dogs lead me to you.

I spotted you as the little shy girl underneath the bikes that didn't trust anybody. Slowly but surely you approached the training sessions. All you wanted was attention and treats weren't your cup of tea.

Somebody I knew took interest in you and that's were I got your papers ready with your foster mom.

I took you in and trained you individually. After a huuge argument you befriended my dog Kenai and he became the love of your life 💛 (Hence your name Nita)

During the process of flying you overseas, your first family bailed out. Your paper work was already done so you came with me and where allowed to live with my parents as a foster dog whilst we were looking for a new home for you.

You captured my parents' hearts pretty fast with your sweet looks and so the search came to an end and you were allowed to stay forever.

FOREVER UNTIL NOW!

Your progress of coming out of your little fur shell and being able to explore and see the world was one of the most beautiful progresses I was allowed to witness and be part of.

You were part of our family that reached from Luxembourg to the Netherlands and back and filled our lives with joy and loads of helicopter tail wags.

WE LOVE YOU AND WISH YOU SAFE TRAVELS 🌈✨🦊

Koh Phangan you were great as usual.
Helping owned and stray dogs, being with my loved once, meeting new people and feeling home.
The island has so much to give and it's always a rollercoaster ride.

THANK YOU & hopefully see you soon!
