Sweet Jax has been struggling with his mobility the last few weeks and today we got the diagnosis that we were dreading - bone cancer. It was bad and in addition to Jax being in significant pain, he was at risk of having the bone fracture or break at any point. We made the decision to let him go peacefully so that he was no longer in pain.

Rest in Peace Sweet Jax, our Stage 5 Clinger and our Big Brave Boy. Mama and Dad miss you so much already.

April 1st was my Gotcha Day! Mama bought me a special treat to celebrate 4 years with my family 💙🐾

I was adopted from in 2019 and my first year was rough with my separation anxiety and pneumonia issues but since then I have been doing great! Thanks to everyone following my journey.

Diego and his mom (my Auntie Jessica) have made it their mission to help the dogs in San Antonio - through training efforts to keep dogs in their homes with Arfordable Dog Training, volunteering/fostering with many shelters and rescues and collecting food donations for a dog food pantry to help people struggling to feed their dogs - both Diego and Jessica dedicate their personal and professional lives to helping dogs and their owners.

This is little big sister, Mia AKA Mia Bonita. She is an alumni of San Antonio Humane Society!

Mia was an interesting case. When she first came in, mom said she looked just pitiful. She had just gotten a bath and was absolutely terrified. Being the sucker mom is, she had to have her. She barely made it into her kennel for a stray search and mom put in an application.

During the stray search, mom visited her every day and Mia slowly started to show her true colors. Talk about a BAIT AND SWITCH! Mia was a perfect example of how fear and a stressful environment can affect an animals behavior. Within days, she started playing, jumping, and being the crazy Mia we know today.

Oh and she wasn’t as old as they thought. 🤦🏽‍♀️ Mia in adolescence was a maniac… So I’ve been told. Mom had her hands full with this girl. Heck, she still does.

The best part about Mia’s enthusiasm is, she’s highly trainable and loves it. She was the first Chief Canine Officer and helped dozens of dogs pass their AKC Canine Good Citizen Test, reactivity training and learning how to dog. I have some big shoes to fill.

Today, she spends her days keeping our boarding guests active during playtime, chasing squirrels, and on occasion jumping into a session or 2 with mom. Mia is asking for your help!

Tonight mama handed out some WEST PAW Toppl’s that she stuffed and froze yesterday. She put carrots on top of them and I don’t like carrots so she had to scrap off the carrots and add some fresh Greek yogurt before I’d eat mine.

Sunday Funday. I went to Arfordable Dog Training this afternoon to hang with Mama while Dad took the demon puppy to school. Then we came home and had snuffle mat time to relax.

When Rogue goes to school at Arfordable Dog Training it’s a nice peaceful day and evening for me!! He was so tired, he didn’t even hear dad making dinner (but I did!) 😋
