The majority of my working life has been spent behind a desk in various Sales and Service roles, but after a bike accident left me with a broken ankle in April 2011 I decided it was time for a rethink on the employment front. Because of the injury, I realised that returning to a desk job would probably have long lasting effects and the last thing I wanted was to have my mobility further impaired b
y a constantly swollen ankle as this might also interfere with my realisation of being able to pass my full bike test and ride. A conversation I had with my family about my situation made me realise how much less I was out and about generally since not having a dog any more. So... as a life long dog lover and owner I thought, what better way to get fit again and do something I enjoy than to walk other peoples dogs!!! This is how it all started and strangely enough round about that time I had a card through the door from a local business advertising for "Host Family's" for other peoples dogs, and so my association with Pet Carers (Northumberland) was born. Initially I only had 1 or 2 dogs for a few days but as my ankle healed, this grew into longer holidays stays. Along side this I also started advertising for my own clients for dog walking and as a result I now have a number of doggy clients who Ii either walk or who come and stay with me for their holidays. I offer a dog walking and sitting service within a 20 mile radius of Seaton Delaval and looking to become a member of NARPS UK in the near future.
