Good morning lovely golden lovers! This page is going to be a place for littermates of Poppy and Busy! If you want to continue to follow this page you are welcome to. We are no longer breeding golden retrievers and will not have more litters in the near future.
If you are looking for a golden retriever, please do your research!!! Know the breed! Golden retrievers are very loving, affectionate, loyal, easy to train, and will be your constant companion! I mean constant! They often get separation anxiety and do not do well being left alone for more than an hour or so. They do best in pairs or more as dogs are pack animals. They are needy for attention, and highly sensitive. If you do not have time to play with them for hours, snuggle with them, train them, etc...please do not purchase a dog especially a golden retriever.
Health!
Responsible amd ethical breeders, do everything they can to ensure that both the mom and dad are in excellent health! We track their health history back generations, we make sure they have been tested for the most common health issues such as eyes, heart, hips, and elbows. Reputable breeders make sure these tests re done at the appropriate age, by a certified dr!
Ask the breeders to see these test results!
You should be thoughoughly vetted by a responsible breeder. If they don't, think about that! Do they have the best interest of the puppies in mind?
Meet the parents! See where they are living! Ask how many litters the mom has had! How far a part?
Again, we cannot guarantee that any puppy will be 100% healthy and perfect, nature doesn't work that way.
If we force breeders to breed responsibility and ethically by only purchasing puppies from breeders who responsibility and ethically we can help reduce the amount of unhealthy or unwanted animals in shelters!
