We're a family pursuing our passion in biodynamic sustainable homesteading. We enjoy sharing the fruit of our labor with others as we delve into new ventures. On the farm land, we are currently mastering the art of raising/keeping/breeding/processing chickens to provide eggs and meat for our family and community. Next on our list is delving into the art of permaculture to create a rich, biodynamic
environment for our plants and animals to live interdependently in, and mastering our understanding of the various fruit, vegetable and herb plants we currently have. In the farmhouse, we continue to master the art of traditional foods and processing methods, such as fermenting everything in our kitchen with various cultures, and learning how to grow, gather and cook our food right from our land to our bodies in the most nourishing, nutrient-dense ways. We spend most of our time raising our little ones, giving them a Christ-centered relaxed-classical education at home, which currently consists of reading a lot of good books and talking about everything we see while feeding chickens, climbing and playing! Having 4 tongue tied children created a deep desire in Mama Roots to help other families troubleshoot this difficult condition, so she became a lactation educator. Her goal is to combine her baccalaureate-level RN education and background in clinical research to become a lactation consultant to perform research in this field and also help families one-on-one. She is happy to give instruction to families on basic breastfeeding and troubleshooting, as well as education specific to tongue ties. She also enjoys educating on healthier alternatives to packaged formula if breastfeeding is not possible, including getting in touch with donor milk and how to make raw milk and whole food formula from scratch at home. We thoroughly enjoy gleaning wisdom and bartering goods with others, so please reach out!
