Good day, all Pet Hotel Clients.

We would like to inform you of our new daily rates, for cat/dog sitting at the kennels. Starting from June 2023.

🐱 Cats are R100/day per Kennel.
🐱 2 Cats sharing R150/day per kennel.

🐶 Dogs are R100/day per kennel.
🐶 2 Dogs are R150/day per kennel.

Shaken vet reveals:
This is what pets do minutes before they fall asleep

Every pet owner has to deal with the idea that the beloved member of the family will most likely die before you. If you grew up with dogs or cats, you probably had to say goodbye several times.

This farewell doesn't get any easier with time. Most pet owners find it particularly bad to have to put their animal friends down.

Watching your four-legged friend die can make you sick. Nevertheless, pet owners should be strong in these moments - for the sake of animals.

Unfortunately not all master and wifey have the courage and strength to stay with their animals until their last breath. They're not there to make the transition easier and prefer to leave the vet work all by themselves.

Now a vet who wants to remain anonymous has decided to share his thoughts about this decision with the public.

The vet's message:
′′ As a pet owner, it's usually inevitable for your pet to die in front of you. So if you need to take your pet to the vet to bring them a worthy pain free end, I want y'all to know something.

You were THEIR TOTAL LIFE LONG at the heart of their world!!! Of your own life, they may have been just a small part, but to them you, their family, were all they knew. It's a crappy decision / day / time every time, it can't be denied, and it's upsetting for us humans to lose it. But please, I beg you, DON ' T LEAVE HER ALONE!

Don't let them commit the transition from life to death in a room full of strangers, in a place they can't stand. What most of y'all don't know is they LOOKING FOR YOU IF YOU LEAVE THEM ALONE!!!!

They search every face in the room for their loved ones. They don't understand why you left them behind when they were sick, scared, old or taken away by cancer and they needed your comfort.

Don't be a coward because you think it's just too hard for YOU. Imagine how they feel when you leave them in their most sensitive time. People like me are every time trying to comfort them, ease their anxiety and try to explain to them why you just couldn't stay.

Hey everyone. Hope everyone is okay. I know it's a long read. But you might save a kitty's life with this information. Have a great day and stay safe!🐱

On Thursday Willow played with lilies in my office. She didn't eat anything. She only batted at them and got the pollen all over her before I shooed her away. We laughed initially but thank God something in my head told me to google it.

I read, "All parts of the lily - including the stem, leaves, petals, stamens and pollen - are poisonous to cats. Even minor exposures (cat chewing on a leaf or getting pollen on his or her haircoat or whiskers) can be fatal."

"Cats typically do not survive, even with aggressive therapy (such as dialysis)."

I freaked out. Threw her in the shower (that wasn't fun) and immediately took her up to Blue Pearl Emergency & Specialty Hospital. Due to covid, they came and took her from my car and after her exam the ER doctor called me. She said her prognosis was very poor because they found the pollen around her mouth and on her tongue. She even said, "in my experience I've never seen a cat survive lily poisoning. Most owners only realize there's an issue when the cat is sick and by that point it's just too late"

Insert hysterical crying here. She said that her only saving grace may be that we sought treatment quickly but realistically she might not make it through the night. They made her throw up, gave her activated charcoal and aggressively treated her with fluid therapy and other meds.

Thank God after 2 days in the hospital, she pulled through!!! We will go for a recheck soon but her doctors are confident her organs didn't suffer any long term damage from the poisoning.

I can't tell you the intense guilt I felt and still feel for buying those stupid flowers. I felt like a murderer, terrible fur mom, terrible person. I've had cats my entire life and have never heard of lily poisoning. The vets response to that was "most people only find out the hard way" The doctors, technicians and staff at Blue Pearl really are the best! They saved our baby.

Welcome to the official Aggeneys Pet Hotel page. We watch your cats or dogs in a safe, secure and loving environment, whilst you can enjoy your break away, carefree.

Contact details are:
• WhatsApp 0609943549.

• We are open every week day. Gates remain locked for safety and security purposes.
• Please make arrangements with us 24 hours in advance, and keep on communicating with us through the duration of your pet's stay.
• Weekends closed.
• We always make special arrangements with our clients, if you book and enquire, at least 24 hours in advance.

Our tarriffs are:
•R50 per day, per pet, per Kennel.
•R75 per day, per 2 pets sharing 1 kennel. (Max. pets per kennel, 2.)
•House pet sitting R100 per day. (We go to your home and see to it that your pets are fed and looked after.)

Bring the following with your pet please.
• Pet should be on a harnass/leash or carrier box.
• An up to date vaccination card. (NO PETS WILL BE ALLOWED ON TO THE PROPERTY WITHOUT VALID PROOF OF THEIR VACCINATIONS.)
• Favorite food and treats.
• Food bowl and water bowl.
• A blanket or bed.
• Toys.
