𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘆 𝗔𝗻𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗹𝘀 - 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝘂𝘀𝗲?

We've heard it all - gate motors acting up, garden services leaving gates open, house sitters abandoning their post... After processing over 400 stray animals, our team's seen the worst of it.

Most owners who claim their animals argue with staff, refuse microchipping, and are aggressive on arrival.

Stray animals are a huge issue for us. Many people "rescue" them but don't fill in the vital forms, and some attack us for sending strays to the municipal pound.

We really are now tired of it.

Here's what we've learned over 8 years:

1️⃣ 1 in 3 animals stray
2️⃣ 87% of stray animals aren't sterilised
3️⃣ 43% of microchips aren't registered
4️⃣ Less than 5% of strays have a name tag
5️⃣ 71% of strays get lost again
6️⃣ Only 38% are reunited with families
7️⃣ 26% are surrendered when they stray

As we head towards New Year's Eve, a time many animals will get lost and forgotten:

- Our hours are on each stray post - don't expect to fetch your lost animal when we're closed.
- Don't ask our caretakers to take a lost animal from you - it's a security risk. Paperwork is needed and our staff can not open the gate at night.

- We can't rehome strays ethically, professionally, or legally. Don't ask us to compromise.

- The microchip/boarding fee is the least you can pay for food, housing, and cleaning.

We didn't lose your pet; we kept them safe. Abusing our staff reflects poorly on you.

Please remember if we have not seen your pet in the last 6 months and you are needing scheduled medication please bring them for a medication check up.

Medication check ups are at a reduced cost. So if you have no other health concerns then simply book a medication check up and we can help you with something stronger than over the counter medication 😁

We cannot accommodate walk ins when we are fully booked. That is putting unnecessary pressure on our staff and unfair to those clients who do book.

A TRUE emergency however will always be seen to first. In that case please come in asap.
