Aragon van Quantum is proving to be quite an exciting dressage horse! He had another good outing scoring a 70 in one of his Novice tests. Chimone Zaayman can't sing his praises enough, especially with his lateral and canter work. Nicely ridden Chim!

Frits van Quantum (by Fetse 349 Sport out of Zegen van de Zonschate) showed his potential as a dressage horse at the recent Terrouge Equestre Dressage event scoring into the 70's for both his tests. Well ridden Luan Forrester!

Great achievement for Roxy Liechti and her purebred lusitano gelding Lorenzo QS @ Highlands over the weekend finishing on a 67 for their second PSG outing placing them top of their class. Wow!! Needless to say we had to pop a bottle of bubbles! Our stud is beaming with pride to have 2 homebred horses competing in PSG now as they join Chimone Zaayman and Hindrik van Quantum at this level.

Sue Mesa bred her mare to our Stallion Heliodor QS and has produced her handsome partbred Lusitano youngster, Queensman. It is very rewarding seeing him develop and mature. Thank you for choosing Heliodor Sue. There are so many talented stallions out there and there are no guarantees, but this combination has most certainly proved itself. I wish you and Queensman many happy hours together doing what you love. Seeing is believing!

A raging fire in the Seaview area of Gqeberha forced the evacuation of horses on Wednesday night. Fortunately Carocha, along with the other horses from the yard, were safely housed at the PE Riding Club until it was safe to return to the yard. The fire has left the once pristine nature reserve covered in grey sheet of ash. Glad to hear that the horses and people from Rainbows End Stables are all safe and sound. Not to let a bad situation get you down Samantha Swarts and Carocha were out on a sunrise hack to view their new "normal" outride tracks.

Our lovely Carocha, dam to our breeding stallion, Heliodor QS, has started a new beginning with my sister, Samantha Swarts, in Port Elizabeth. I wish you many happy days together Sam! Thank you for choosing Carocha as your special equine partner. She really is a 1 in a million horse!

Quantum Stud hosted the East Rand Working Equitation Championship show last Sunday. This is an exciting discipline displaying your horses training, obedience and trust without the pressure of trying to keep up with big moving beauties (although they are be no means excluded). Photos below are a few of our riders competing in the Maneability phase. Your horses are judged for correctness as they would be in a dressage test but with obstacles along the way. We had so much fun! Thank you to all involved in getting this discipline up and running in our region- we are all looking forward to the 2024 season. Follow Working Equitation Gauteng for more news.

Meet Delfim-a purebred Lusitano gelding out of Safira by Ulisses. He was bred by Carlos Raposo and has recently turned 15. This special chap has competed in most equestrian disciplines through his lifetime over and above being a breeding stallion in his earlier years. His current occupation is that of a Medium level dressage / Working Equitation horse and he has the scope to go further. He is just the most fun, versatile horse with a s***ky character and heart of liquid gold. I consider myself privileged to share time with a horse like him.

Our first filly for 2023 a week old today - Utopia QS. She is out of our Lusitano sport mare Pandora QS (Heliodor QS) by Capitão D' Figueiras. What a beauty!

Our first foal of the season, Utah QS, out of Octavia QS (Lusitano sport mare) by Capitão D' Figueiras. Utah is a 3/4 Lusitano, 1/4 WB cross. Very confident at 1 whole week old today!
